  • In today’s VanHack success story, we are thrilled to introduce Elizabeth, a talented data engineer from Mexico who recently achieved her dream of working internationally. Elizabeth’s journey serves as an inspiration to all VanHackers who are seeking to expand their horizons and pursue opportunities beyond their home country.
    Elizabeth’s Background
Elizabeth was born in Mexico City and raised in Tijuana. She graduated as a computer science engineer and spent 15 years building her career as a data engineer in Mexico. Her journey began when she received an email from a Mexican company with offices in Spain during the early days of the pandemic. This opportunity opened her eyes to the possibility of working internationally.
Motivated by the prospect of an international career, Elizabeth embarked on a mission to find a job outside of Mexico. For two years, she applied for around 100 positions, faced numerous interviews, and encountered the challenges of the pandemic, which significantly slowed down the hiring process.
