    I love what you guys are doing, I run the same seat but in a black finish without the carbon, just a heads up the carbon is just the top layer and the seat is not fully carbon. you wont be disappointed though they are very comfortable both on long road trip and for track work. I hope you dont mind me asking a technical question, do I need to worry about TUV in my modified 1989 Carbon Reliant Scimitar? I paid my fist visit to the ring last year travelling in the orange Reliant Kitten you drove and I didnt see any inspections taking place and we were not stopped once but I am seeing some social media posts suggesting they are taking place but it mostly seems to be newer stuff?

  • @Cloxxki
    @Cloxxki Před 2 měsíci

    Anyone interested to work on an unsprung downforce floor? Could be static or fan driven. Allows for softer suspension with big downfoce.
    The chassis is connected normally to the suspension, but the extra floor is mounted straight to the wheel uprights or close to the upright on the suspension arms, the extra floor does not touch the chassis through a stiff interface, only electrics and a flexible air hose.
    The fan downforce negates most of the disadvantage if the chassis needs to be run a bit higher. Look at McMurtry Speirling, but have that downforce go to the wheel uprights, not th rest of the car. There will be unsprung weight, but it's pressed down HARD by downforce. The extra floor can/must have flex, making the unsprung mass a bit "self sprung". Of course we start in RC scale.

    What's the thought process with the oil cooler being directly in front of the rear wheel, is there not potential for damage, or is there an inner arch and some sort of exit ducting to go in somewhere?
