There are far worse thing in reality mate.

kubrick died 6 days b4 that movie for saying the truth
@@franciscojaviersantos9239f you believe that, then why’d they release the movie? The movie leaves it purposefully ambiguous if the cabal of rich people are even murderous at all. That’s the point. Rich people don’t have to actually kill. They just have to scare you enough to think they would. Money/power talks for itself, it doesn’t even need to act on it.
Also the whole “orgy cult” isn’t really the point of the movie. It’s all about this feeling of plunging yourself way out of your depth to escape the sad reality that you just don’t feel excited to be in love anymore
And, Eyes Wide Shut is one of the best titles ever. Not only explains the film, but our reality now.

This movie is a true blue masterpiece. Cruise has never been better. Kidman is in only 20 mins and haunts the film like a phantom. It’s THE most honest relationship movie of all time. He represents things and situation that nobody talks about.
It’s a new film.
And to think Warner Bros cut 25 minutes from it after he died.
@CJ P. collateral was fantastic but very much a cruise role regardless of him playing a villain. Eyes wide is something he’s never done before or since and it’s incredibly intense in very cerebral way.
The most honest relationship of all time? Are you all high????
@@shadowfax4592 this film demands your full attention. It demands repeated viewings. The entire movie is a game in which the viewer like Bill Hardford himself has to solve for themselves. Kubrick isn’t interested in making a typical thriller but it’s very much a thriller. It honesty shows a relationship in the sense that most people don’t even speak of and that is,” you’ll never ever fully know the person you love.” The movie is called Eyes Wide Shut for a reason. You’ll only get what you give to this film. Kinda like a relationship itself.
@@mainmanmainlining7575 I think the film preys on people’s common fears being in a relationship. That the other will cheat. Oh, how groundbreaking!

I was born a year before this movie came out. I remember seeing bits and pieces of this movie when my parents watched it when I was younger. I mostly just remember the scenes with Cruise and Kidman. But the thing I remember the most is those haunting piano notes that get repeated throughout the movie. That has been ingrained in my mind all this time and has stuck with me since
Supposed Originally Titled as Eye of the Beholder
Everytime an ad for this movie came on tv late at night I would get the creeps because of the piano.

You can ask God to take that from you, Honey. Just make a decision to release it from your soul, along with other things that stand between you and God. He can take it for you. And replace it with light and love. Jesus is the answer.
They kept watching it from infancy to working memory wow ur parents must have loved this movie
Kubrick said that he thought this movie was his greatest contribution to cinema in his entire career. Thats alot coming from the guy who made 2001 and a clockwork orange. He definitely pissed off ALOT of dangerously important people off with this picture.
Not really
He was killed for it
Wow Kubrick really said, felt that?? I think it is a good movie, but not on the level of his previous masterworks.

Super glad I never saw the trailer for this. I watched the movie for the first time the other day, purely interested because it was a Kubrick film and I've just been aware of the title a long time. Not that the trailer gives away much plot, but some of those visuals, particularly with costumes and locations, are way better and weirder when you aren't expecting them!
