    I got the Rouch Intake from you guys long before this video was made. It great! Easy to Install. I like that it doesn't seem to modify the engine intake system too much while still giving the sound and benefits of a CAI.

    S&b all the way for me . Best looking and a true cold air intake

    Everything I've researched says the 3.5 and 2.7 have the same cold air intakes. I'm wondering if you can expect the same power gains? I think the best bang for the buck is definitely the K&N. I've been shopping for the right deal to pop up on a CAI for my 2018 2.7 Ecoboost. My preferred brand is AFE because that's what run I ran on my 12 valve Cummins. I also prefer a dry filter, but after you clean your K&N just don't oil it and it works fine.
    Recent prices:
    K&N - $210
    S&B - $299
    Roush - $410
    AirRaid (oiled) - $370
    AirRaid (dry) - 378
    It's really hard justifying almost spending double for any of the CAI's when the K&N is so reasonably priced.
    I'd really like to see you guys do a video on tuners. SCT, Super Chip, Bully dog, & etc. just to have better knowledge on which one to go with. Please post some videos on 2.7 Ecoboost. I used to sale Fords and 70% of people are buying the 2.7 unless they HAVE to have a v8 for their man card or just need the towing power of the 3.5.
    Thank you for your time and posting these videos.

    These are all great but does K and N just make a better filter for the stock intake? If so can you get it through you guys? Link

    And ues you can change to a cai. But you should look at the guys that also change the intake tubes for the turbos that seems to be the most overlooked part beside downtubes

    How about Advanced Flow Engineering AFE. Their intakes are great for 3.5L ecoboost.. Very easy install.

    Look at the Raptor and the power it makes. It uses the same airbox as the regular 3.5 and 2.7. the nest "cold" air intake is the stock intake

    Other than a cold air intake, is there something that would help my engine run nice and clean?
    I don’t know much about trucks or engines, but I’d like to make sure I’m doing everything I can to help it run smooth. Please help!

    Why not run dyno test? Or do these intakes do nothing but make noise? Like we used to put the air cleaner cover on upside down back in the day!

    • @ColdSmokes
      @ColdSmokes Před 6 lety +5

      Pete Rochester It would take an independent party with extra time and $$ to do a dyno run. No manufacturer will ever show real world dyno results because there would be little if any gain on a stock or nearly stock vehicle and would even possibly make LESS power than stock with the way most of these kits suck in hot undet hood air. Slam in a K&N filter and remove the air spinners and call it a day.
      Remember that trucks are dipping well into the 12's with STOCK air boxes. Fact.

    What a waste of money. Every one of these simply connects to the stock tubing. The design of the stock air box is so good all you need is a less restrictive filter. For the price of one of these silly intakes you could get a simple tuner and get way more for your money.

    • @SlammedZero
      @SlammedZero Před 4 lety +5

      My thoughts exactly. I'm sitting here watching this video and noticing they barely connect to anything at all. So you're paying for a $400 plastic box and like a foot of split tubing. lol

    I am interested in the idea of a cold air intake. They don't look too hard to install. Can anyone tell me if these products would void the factory warranty. I can't get a straight answer out of my Ford dealer in Las Vegas. If they would void the warranty then I will stay clear. If not, I would like to get the Rouch. Does anyone know the correct answer?

    • @2KCamaroZ28SS

    Why does no one ever look at banks performance?

  • @teop7887
    @teop7887 Před 4 lety

    Quick question:
    Which should be bought first... A CAI, or high flow exhaust?
    I'm interested in eventually installing both, but I'm on a budget. I understand that if you increase the intake of air, you have to consequently increase its scavenging out.
    I also know that the newer 3.5s (mine's a 2019) can "self-tune" to such bolt-on modifications.
    So which should it be first? I'm interested in the Magnaflow (quieter), and either the aFe or Roush intakes.

    • @americantrucks
      @americantrucks  Před 4 lety +1

      Exhaust isn't going to do much for you in regards to performance in this case- it'll be more of a sound shaper and that is all. On the other hand, the intakes will see minimal gains along with increased sound depending on your filter enclosure. All of the companies you mentioned make quality systems and personally I've been very happy with my Roush intake. Happy Modding! -Justin

    • @codylucier4688
      @codylucier4688 Před 2 lety

      There is no way a car will self tune. It just simply doesnt need a tune for a cold air intake or an exhaust

    • @codylucier4688
