The main reason why the streets of Namibia are empty is because there is not much business is done on the streets. Namibians go to shopping malls and have isolated marketplaces. is just how the country is well organized. Pedestrians are rare to find in Namibia because the transportation system is also convenient for everyone and affordable.
Ooh I get it now
I travel africa and realised that the reason streets are full in africa is coz municipalities allow people to trade on the streets. If those people were not allowed to be on streets they will be empty. Look at Lusaka now. If u were in Lusaka May last year and go there now u will be shocked as to what happened to CBD. THE CBD was chaotic until government decided to ban trading in CBD last year and send people to designated points. Since then Lusaka CBD is no longer congested. The hawkers dirtify cities and towns. In Namibia trade is only at designated points mainly far outside CBD.
Street vending has messed up many African cities & caused many people to die from cholera in many places
It's changing drastically, soon Windhoek will also be dirty. This is due to the useless councilors we have currently
@@fixnamibia6221without a doubt I can tell you’re both not native to Africa going by your comments
@@sam3407Is not about that, we need clean street not dirty as I am seeing in some countries. Infact our city was the cleanest city in the whole continent, now due to politicians who probably wants to apeace the masses and compromised on the cleaners, bad spots are appearing in the city now.
We are now 3.2 million according to the Cencus done in 2023,the population have really grown
No traffic jam, Namibia is so beautiful I need to visit there
What a model organized city.Top notch discipline at the traffic 🚦 stop. All African 🌍 cities should adopt this to reduce congestion.
Yes, it is amazing to see empty streets unlike the other cities you have visited in the past, Namibia is beautiful so is your guide.Enjoy, Cheers!
Me I prefer slow and less congested city....I think I will visit Nambia this December
Welcome to my motherland. Clean country, vast spaces of land and fewer people. Enjoy your time, Africa for Africans at home and abroad. You’re home don’t worry.
Thank you so much Kanguham❤️❤️
I really enjoyed to see you interacting with that polite a beautiful LADY! Namibian people ,in general, are very humble, friendly and polite people.
In Addition, In Angola we call it funge, but in Tchokwe , a local language, we say chima
Good Work!!
Nice content + the city looks great
You gained a sub. Thank you for showcasing our beautiful Namibia 🇳🇦
Looks rich very nice 👍
So cool to see Namibia... I hope one day i will be able to visit the country... Great video Lenox
The guy with zero drama...just pure content #TeamMarwa❤🎉
Damn the streets are soo clean...its hard to believe
Namibia population is 3,2 million in 2023. 2.6 million was last census of 2011. The latest Census was last year 2023. Windhoek has a population of 500,000 people. One thing I know is that even if Windhoek had 2 million people, the streets will still be empty coz Namibians dnt do trade on the streets. The streets in Namibia towns are only full Monthend. Infact if u arrive in Namibia Monthend, u will not believe its the same place that was empty. After month end they withdraw from CBD. Its also full from 4h30 pm Monday - Friday when people are knocking off from work.
It's still empty
It doesn't matter really, in some countries that's a population of a small town.
Next destination. Getting ready to relocate my family there
Congratulations 🎊 Lennox on your 7k subscribers wonderful Shalom!😊😊😊

Nice one bro. Keep it up.
Thanks ✌️
Lenox, you see the place you were passing by when she mentioned that Zoo Park is behind. That's the old "STATE HOUSE". Not many young people knows. They only know the current STATE HOUSE.
Thank you Maria for giving such a good tour.
🇺🇸🇺🇸 Hi Lenox J, good to see you are smiling and enjoying your traveling Adventures!! Namibia is a BEAUTIFUL BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY!!!!! Maria is very kind tour guide😊 Very enjoyable Lenox J!! Much love🙏🏽❤️👍🏽

Greetings👋🏽👋🏽 and Thank you❤️
❤ Cool
We are here Lennoxx 😂😂😂 we love our country Wlcome to Namibia
Thank you so much
What do you mean residential areas with no people? People are there inside their homes and business places, is only that Namibians don't walk in the streets that much. Most people own cars, especially in cities and towns.
I hear you👊🏽 Thank you
good content
Thank you😎
Windhoek is very clean 👌
Say that again...
It really is!
Clean with no people
@@ototek8037but why they don't produce more ? To increase population? Or they don't want?
She is very right that a lot of people own cars and pedestrians are very few in Namibia.
In Windhoek you will 6 cars in a house of 2 people.
but in Namibia poor get poorer and rich get richer
@@pendypaul3366I am sure someone will differ with this narrative, it all depends to wh you are speaking though.
Your vlogs are perfectly done.keep creating I can see you becoming a world class content creator. As for namibia I am thinking Abt visiting..the city doesn't look like an African city..I love living in sparsely populated city not like Nairobi
Maria she is so talkative I like her
Yooooooooo!!
I was there July ‘23
It was mobbed - super busy
That’s when 🇬🇧 and Europe travel to Europe
Go then- you’ll see the massive difference 😊
Dnt expect to meet people in town at that time of the day
Sima also.means ugali , Nakula sima na mboga commonly used at coastal cities of Kenya, upcountry they tend use the word ugali while Nairobi wasee usema Sembe ama Ugali "
Wow, what a nice video!
But please, next time try to mention names of places or surburbs where you are.
Greetings from Angola
Ok, thank you
If you are still in the country try to visit the coastal cities, Walvis Bay and Swakopmund, you will like it.
Yes headed there
My kabambe guy.. always here for you. How do you miss jaber min hawi?
😂
Ugali is oshithima in Namibia ,I think Tanzania Swahili is thima, us Wambo Namibians originated from Tanzania according to ethinology.
Lennoxx thats elbow pasta
You must go to Katutura thats were the masses live and go to single quarters to eat our famous braai your nyama shomawith pap and salsa
I will try it out
Nsima and buhobe in Zambia, ugali in Tanzania. Fufu in West Africa.. It is the staple food of the black African
Oshichima sounds like Obusuma, Obuchima

That is not empty. That is normal for Namibia
This is interesting. How did all these Bantus end up with similar sounding names for ugali? The fact that maize reached Africa in the 16th century when the modes of travel and communication were limited, that's a very long distance to travel by foot. Maybe it was a staple of common Bantu ancestors, and maize replaced an ancient grain or cassava.
Namibia: Oshifima
South Africa: Nsima
Malawi: Nsima
Zambia: Nshima, Nsimam, shishima
Kenya: Sima, Ngima, Obusima, Obokima
Uganda: Busima
Congo: Nsima
Mozambique: Xima
Speaking for Aawambo in Namibia and Angola, Oshithima is mainly made from pearl millet. Maize was just introduced about 100 years ago. And it's not really popular. We have always used pearl millet.
Uganda is POSHO please
@@israelkisaila8401I am comparing ancient bantu names. The name “Posho” is of recent origins, probably a Swahilized name for “Portion,” referring to a ration of food given to workers during colonial times.
@@johndoe-er3qi ooo that's ok
@@M_KK Yes, millet and sorghum were probably the original grains used for making the dish but when maize entered the scene, it quickly gained popularity due to its widespread availability and affordability. The ingredient changed, but the meal remained the same. It must have been a revered food, judging by how the name stuck. Perhaps the original name the Bantu progenitors used was something grand like “Obosimamah” meaning the meal that makes you stand firm against the challenges of the gods. 😄Or it could just be a humble name meaning “pounded” due to how it was prepared. In Kenya, the millet variation is still available, although its less common. It's prized for its nutritive value despite being more challenging to cook due to its sticky nature.
Amazing video always following sonce I make similar videos
Good to hear!
I just subscribe to his channel let get him 4000k fellow Namibians
Thank you Pendy Paul❤️
Thanks Germans.
Namibia and Botswana needs more people.
For what?
Absolutely not
no, we are fine
Lenox 😂😂😂😂😂 welcome, our empty land 😂😂😂
Thank you so much
Oi cara! Eu sou Sebastião de nacionalidade Angola, o meu sonho é viver em Namíbia, sobretudo aprender a falar inglês fluentemente e procuro alguém que ajude a emigrar para lá. Será que tu podes?
Namibia must really look after its country, South Africa is reaping the bad decision of allowing anything to the country!
Would they be happy to take some African Americans and Caribbean's for population growth?
😂
Hi dude! I am Sebastião of Angolan nationality, my dream is to live in Namibia, especially to learn to speak English fluently and I am looking for someone to help emigrate there. Can you help me?
Do we have Namibia ladies here?
Im here 😂😂
It's important we talk 😂
The "fast" president? The correct pronounciation is close to "fest"... It is "desat"? It is more like "day-zet"
Namibia should be the new Pan African country for all blacks world wide. Namibia infrastruture is just like South africa. Electricity is good , water etc. Their currecny is strong also.
We need to reach out to our Namibians brothas and sisters and ask them.
Nigerians, Jamiacans, Black americans, Uk Blacks, Brazilians, Trinidads, Puerto Ricans, dominicans, Somalians, ghanians, belize, South american and central american blacks. We can do this and bring more business and skills, healthcare industry nurses doctors, surgeons, auto mechanic shops, transit system, service jobs, paramedics fire fighters, barber/hair salons, caribbean /nigerina/ethopian/black amereican restaurants etc. a International black wall street i see forming here soon.

No thanks
@@Mokz1991 some will like to join that idea, some wont. its all good. You dont have to join.
@@5Pointstarr I'm Namibian and we will not entertain such idea...Namibia and Botswana don't play with their immigration...South Africa open up its borders and it look where they are today with immigration crisis...why can't people build up the countries of their origin...?
@@Mokz1991 that is south africa. not every country will not esperience the same prob. You are prob YT, so we wont listen to you. Doesnt matter, black unity is going to happen in Namibia down the road.
@5Pointstarr It sounds like bringing chaos to our beautiful Nam. Good luck selling that idea
Nam needs real industrialisation, proper money, not salons. Sporting facilities, manufacturing plants, a proper entertainment industry etc. not salons
Next time i will offer my car for free to help you explore Windhoek. For you is just to provide fuel.
Thank you my guy👊🏽
This guy is overbearing... and was pushing this girl around
That's how we Kenyans interact 😂
