DIY sketchbook/journal (NO BINDING/STITCHING!)

Hi everyone!
Here's a video on how to make your own sketchbook/journal without the complication of stitching or binding! All you need is a hole puncher and some floral wire and you're good to go :-)

Things you can use instead of that wire
• Paper clip
•A really thin hanger
•Key chain
• safety pin
• An old strong chain

This is literally perfect and gave me a use for my old floral wire. I love to draw on upcycled materials so I decided that once I fill up the sketchbooks I have I'm never buying paper again.

This is brilliant, by far the best scrapbook tutorial!!! I’ve seen so many artists just botch this, but I’m making one of these exactly the way you did. All the other suggestions for “closures” like key rings, paper clips etc won’t work for thick watercolor paper, could potentially damage my paper and the pages wouldn’t be easily removable and refillable, so absolutely using floral wire. It’s perfect 👍

Perfect idea. What exactly I was looking for. Could I please suggest may be if at the end you cover the whole wire with plumber tape ( the white tape they use to stop leakage ) and firmly pressing it so it soften whole thing and make a smooth ring then the paper will move freely through the ring .Saf x

Hey if you don’t have hole punchers you can always kinda bend the paper where you need the holes to be and use scissors to cut that tiny piece off!

I think the floral wire would be better for people who are not sure how wide their folder will be when all the pages are in. What gauge was the floral wire you used, as some seem really too tiny
