Thank you! I used clay for the hills and then sealed it with a couple of layers of Mod Podge before painting with acrylic paint. I would shape them in a way that left them hollow to use less clay. I've also used foam and formed clay around it to make some of the hills. The grass and stuff is from a hobby shop like the ones that sell model train stuff. My dad use to use screen and plaster for his mountains and hills. The worst is the trees. I bought two for $25 but couldn't afford more so I use real twigs and branches for trees and logs

I want to learn to do something like this but I want to do it in advance wars style with mm military. Its easily doable with the variety of cars galoob made. Chinooks can be tcopters, humvees can be recons, king tigers can be medium tanks, m270 mlrs can be rockets, elefants can be artillery. I've got a ton of vehicles and figures, even the planet micro stuff with the rare night force. Plus I have alot of spare time so all I need is the camera and a proper rig to keep the shots at the same distance for each sequence.
You should get started with a basic set up, I wish I had a sloid rig and camera but I just use my phone on a janky stand at the moment while I build up to it. I was thinking of using some visual effects and making it look like a RTS with build menus and stuff like that. I look forward to seeing what you come up with in the future :)
@@BonassinN If you wanna share your email I can show you what I got so far but its nothing special. Right now I have 90% of the stuff I need for battle scenes, but I'm still working up to full movies. Right now all I got are playset bases with posed scenes that I take pictures of. They look good, but they're only still images until I get a rig and a camera that isnt my phone. In a couple days I'm getting wolf ridge with all parts and I have artillery and antitank guns to put behind the sandbags. All I'm missing are some good jet fighters and bombers. I'm also collecting mm ww2 vehicles because I have a ton of german/soviet/american airborne/american vietnam- airfix brand soldiers perfectly painted up. They are mm scale so they go perfectly with mm vehicles.
@@MaskedZoo That sounds like a sweet collection you have there! It would be cool to see them for sure! Maybe make a little video up for your channel of your scenes just showing the world what you've got :) I need a case for my figures, I just dusted half of them and their vehicles. I have so many COD and Halo Mega Construx sets and figures it would take forever to list them. I've seen people with collections that crush mine tho. I don't use any CGI or special fx so making stuff fly is super hard for me. I may go more towards the Blue screen/green screen technology in the future as well as after fx and such. Due to my limited computer power, camera technology and money I am just going super basic until I get the stuff together to make the epic productions i want to make
I'm not sure what your Ross has in stock, but I bought 3 socket organizer suitcases there recently. One for new mm, one for military vehicles, one for soldiers. I got so many tan guys each pose gets a different compartment. Mortar guys and javelins will probably get 2.
