I got to know Walter very well. He trained me to become a Professional Wrestler. I got to meet alot of my childhood heroes. Some disappointed me but others were nice. But Walter was a very nice man once you got to know him. He would do anything to help you in the ring and outside the ring. When I found out he got sick and stayed in a coma at the end of his life. It really hurt me because I truly believed he would love to see 100 because he trained hard everyday and he never smoked or drank alcohol. He never ate a piece of meat. He was also very religious. I still miss my hero and Trainer but most of all I still miss my friend. RIP. Walter""KILLER""Kowalski. He was a wonderful MAN

A bit late to the party, but my grandfather was friends with Killer Kowalski, according to family members.

@@Speedyreedy1218 yes he was complete vegetarian with no milk or cheese, no smoking, no alcohol, no meat. Man I really my trainer. He was just an all around good person who loved life and loved telling his students about wrestling all over the world. RIP Walter.

@@davidcoleman9317 Wow. I didn't know you could put on much bulk without dairy and meat. Guess he got his fats from coconut and avocados.
Thanks a lot again for sharing. I can see how HHH became one of his best students. They have a lot in common.
Did you ever make it in one of the major companies David-NWA, AWA, WWF, MidSouth, et al?
If so, any of your matches on CZcams?
      What brought on his coma?

A once-feared man, yet, ever so humble...

Yet even more impressive is the fact that he never used a single drop of hair dye

A remember as a little boy in the 1960's meeting him in a restaurant in the Blue Mountains near Sydney. I was terrified of him. But he was so nice to me and my father. They spoke Polish together.
A very classy man. It was an honor to meet him.
