Jared correcting himself immediately after hearing preferred pronouns is yet another proof of what a caring and thoughtful person he really is. Then again, he has always been lgbtq+ friendly, same as his wife.
Ok dilemma here: I see that they are LGBT-friendly, I love that they are, and that it comes from a place of non-toxic masculinity. However, I also see this deeper undercurrent with them, in that they actually do love each other - even if the outward expression isn't in the "gay" area. It's still their unique connection, which is more than a general "I'm okay with male affection." So for us following them, which ideal should take precedence? It can't be both because there are different implications. It happened to me too: for many years I thought I was LGBT-friendly, but something was missing, which made my friendliness rather lopsided - I only realised I was ace 5 years ago. This doesn't mean I'm now suspicious that everyone who claims friendliness is actually queer, but as said, the more I look at J2 the more I think I was wrong to dismiss the shippers. 😅

Platonic or romantic, their love is real, strong and valid , regardless. They are lucky to have found each other, in whatever capacity. They make each other happy.

But no, it really does matter... for anyone else who may wish to come out, for example. But also for the boys, because the way emotional dynamics work can worsen depression in these cases of closeted queerness. Likewise, "platonic love" doesn't really mean what people think it does. Platonic is the most romantic love in all of existence, because it means the Soul Mate who has been with you through Time and Space - imagine that "the Friend" in Sanskrit means "spouse." People are confused because this ideal has been split into two different institutions, the material spouse on one hand vs. the Best Friend who goes on fun adventures with you. But they were originally one, a special connection, which is how the boys talk about it as well (and when Jared said, "I'm gonna say something weird..." and brought up other lifetimes, it really didn't help me move away from this line of reasoning!). Some people from the Renaissance time period contributed to this misinterpretation of what platonic love is, but it was never non-romantic/non-sexual - it's just that it presents differently for everyone hence the different sexualities, different orientations (including ace like mine). But in this day and age... come on, I would think we were past that closet thing. I get it that we live in a world where it's extremely difficult to be yourself. So I don't think there is anything they should "tell us" that isn't already there to see, more or less, and it's super fun to watch it unfold like it does for them - "It's magical" indeed. They toe the line because that's where they are, both comfortable and uncomfortable. I'm just saying, as a human being it doesn't work to sit for all eternity in this grey area of "someone who is both straight and queer at the same time" - because they are real people, not characters; and even as characters in a show, I never understood how such characters could be made to "appeal to everyone" just by not revealing their inner truth or keeping it ambiguous. That's not how it works! ☺ We "appeal to everyone" through our heart, that's our strength, when we are fully in ourselves. So that both straight people and queer people can understand *the story* we tell, and the emotional inner forces we're dealing with. It matters a whole lot.
@@AdinaIspas you seem to forget that in most places, and in US especially it's still literally life threatening to be out as queer. People get attacked and get killed for it. Not to mention lose jobs and housing etc. We don't know what the home situation is for either of Js. We don't know if would be safe for them to come out. It's Texas , after all. And both families are rather conservative. So no, they can't just be "out and proud" just because it would make some people happy. Every celebrity still in the closet have damn good reason to stay there. It's sad, it's infuriating, but it's reality. It is simply not safe.
@@AdinaIspas I think they have always defined it as brotherly love, which is a very strong kind of love, especially for two people who grew up in a very close and loving family. They also seem genuinely in love with their wives, it doesn’t seem just a beard to me (of course I could be wrong). They are also really really close with the other cast members. There’s a very special friendship between Jensen and Misha for example, so much so that even there some people speculate there might be a romantic interest… I think it’s a very loving group of people who found real friendship in this group, who are in touch with their emotions and know who they are. They are not afraid to show affection, to touch each other for support, to defend and support each other until the very end. It is also very very rare that two great friends get to spend as much time together as these two did across 15 years, usually people hang out on weekends and some evenings… Not even husbands and wives spend so much time together! these two worked together 12/14 hours a day, for a period of time lived together off stage, were neighbors and had their children play together on playdates… they were ALWAYS together. That can form a bond that is pretty extraordinary!!

Like having the mannerisms of someone you've never met, what even is that? I dreamed in 2006 that the "Atlantean Nation" will come forward because we're family so that we won't feel so alone. But I didn't know how it was actually defined? As it turns out, it's about Bromance through the ages. 😅
