I have bought this item on Amazon and I bought the king size frame. Will any king size mattress fit in this frame or do you have to buy a certain type of king mattress?

In my opinion YES any king size mattress fits perfectly in king size bed frame.
It is always best to measure the frame before purchasing a mattress since they vary in thickness and width, but generally speaking it's possible.
