In fall 2008 I was in Donetsk and Lugansk. Although these cities felt more Russian than f.e. example Kiev or Odessa, I had a good time there. Now it's all f***ed up because of the crazy war. I met Ukrainian people and Russian people over there (also Swedes, Georgians and US citizens). Life was peaceful back then. Now it's a mess. Why hating each other? I still want to go back to these cities one day, but that's not likely soon. Unfortunately. Get back to common sense everyone. War makes everybody sad and depressed.

That said, the Lugansk People's Republic's coat of arms has a very Soviet-like look to it, but it's still not a communist state either. USSR nostalgia is an odd thing, and it's used as just purely nationalist imagery just as often as it is in actual communist contexts. Lugansk adopted it as a statement of resistance against Azov and other Ukrainian far-right militias

An anthem pleasing to the ear, surely. But the entire idea of this peoples republic is easily one of the most retarded things I've ever heard of in foreign politics. Either Ukraine or Russia could *so easily* roll right through them and claim them again. Most likely Ukraine too, since the land of Donetsk is recognized by everybody to be theirs.
That's essentially the point of the republics. They're fighting to obtain independence from Ukraine and to join Russia. The war is also a stalemate, currently.

Also, "Banderistan" doesn't exist. That was only a SMALL rally of people who supported Stephen Bandera. I have NO IDEA where you got this information from where people made him a national hero AT ALL, but wherever you got it from, that is pure propaganda.
And you think I'm not aware of my own countries atrocities? Seriously? Are you freaking stupid? I know that Belgium did loads of horrible things and I STRONGLY condemn them. I don't live in Belgium right now (currently studying in the UK on Poli Sci), but I do not support their government. I do not like the King in power, nor do I like the government. I never supported the nationalistic parties such as the FSP nor the current Prime Minister of Belgium. I am in solidarity with the Congolese people and strongly am outraged that my country killed over a million Congolese for exploitation of the countries resources, and hold them 100% accountable for the current civil war in the region. Sure, I do not support Donbass, but don't think of me less of a human to know what my country did.

I don't listen to "mass media". I have friends over in those regions and I took a visit to Donetsk in 2009.
And Crimea is not "Russian". It should be an independent state. It was forced to become Russian by a point of a gun. I honestly supported Crimea's independence, but not the referendum to join Ukraine. Also, you need to cite your sources that Ukraine is fascist. I had not seen mass fascist rallies all over Ukraine at all. Only small reported instances, and they were met with police clashing. Only 2% of fascists won the parliamentary elections. I don't support DPR nor the LPR because they're Imperialist Russian Hegemony. You don't realize this because you watch Eastern Mass Media like RT or read stuff like Pradva, Sputnik or TASS. Don't listen to that shit. If they were real rebels and real communists, they wouldn't support the RNU, Grey Wolves or any of those Far Right extremists from Russia. There are also far right extremists in the Donbass region too, and THAT is what you don't understand. It's a false flag operation, and that's a fact. Do not think I fully 100% support Poroshenko, trust me, I hate hi guts, but I do support a Ukraine that can stay STABLE. Unfortunately, Russia DESTABILIZED Ukraine. And yes, while I do hear you on this, you need to understand the facts too. Knowing your avatar, your name and such, you're probably a Maoist, so I don't know. I don't like Maoists simply because they suck HARD on lies given to them by Eastern Mass Media and listen to other stalinists about this and not see the PoV from a Leninist like myself.
So here's my final opinion:
I support Crimean independence, do not support Russian Crimea, nor Ukrainian Crimea, and Donbass classified as a "rebellion". It's Russian Hegemony. You know Putin is a Tsarist, and if you support the DPR, you should not support Putin.
And you got a +2 for this? Oh typical, since this is a DPR Video... yeah... if we were arguing in a pro Ukraine Video, I would of got top comment. But you know what? I don't really give a damn.
