yup, I agree this should really been redone. One of the main reason this series is fun is to have a glimpse into these people's sheer professional ability. The supreme irony is this probably isn't all that different from the emotional turmoil they have to wade through in their jobs, lol.

The thing is, this is a story driven game with a lot of dialogue... and so it doesn’t really help having someone constantly talk over dialogue and distracting everyone. The investigators are silent because *they are trying to listen to the game and do what Buzzfeed hired them to do* , which is play the fucking game.

They chose the first non tutorial detective case. It's probably the fastest, which must have been a relief for the guys based on how this girl is acting.
Why can't the host just let the two investigators listen to the people being questioned? Every time a character speaks she throws in a "like" or "what" or "wow" or something like that.
because its buzzfeed and their primary audience don't comment and rely on her to determine how they should feel about what is going on? You don't you can't expect a buzzfeed video and not expect a tailored experience.

Coming to this video after watching a lot of the newer videos in this series. This series has become without a doubt the best content I've seen from Buzzfeed and I believe it is because they took the criticism to heart. The people behind the scenes of this series are worthy of a great deal of praise.
I would definitely like to see these two private eyes to join in on other games based on detective work, both tied more towards reality, like any of the Sherlock Holmes games, or even those not tied in reality, like the Sam & Max games.

With that said, anybody can play video games; I'm not trying to make anybody feel lesser than in any way. Also, casual and hardcore gamers are both gamers just the same, the only difference between casual and hardcore gamers are that the hardcore gamers take whatever game they're playing very seriously, whilst casual gamers tend to not be as competitive. Hardcore gamers are those who compete, where as casual gamers are those who tend to take a looser grip on the virtual world they enter; sometimes even fuckin' around with no objective. I see the title of gamer as a way to distinguish between those who are dedicated to the gaming community and those who don't put much thought into it. Like gib501 said, the woman in this video has a lackluster knowledge of how to hold a controller. That is the sort of thing that sets apart one who plays from a gamer. One of the distint traits of these professional investigators is that they have a really good memory. Especially about names. I tend to forget names all of the time.
If I was running this thing I would be as quite as a mouse while giving occasional context but let them focus to see if they can solve it, she sounded like a kindergarten teacher giving hints to the kids so they feel like they got it right themselves
She was laughing nervously at her own horrible jokes. I hope people who know what theyre doing can get ahold of these two and make a new version. This was super uncomfortable. No one else was laughin lady.
