- Parisian-based beatmaker, Onra, is readying the second installment of his Chinese inspired hip-hop instrumentals titled "Chinoiseries Pt.2". During his travels in Asia, Onra would diligenty search for Chinese records. Here is a glimpse of his process and work ethic.

digging on tour, he probably had to ship those stacks back to his home/studio in boxes but that would be too much weight and cost much depending how much vinyl he purchased. or do what Large Professor did in a situation like this, ship his clothes back and pack the records in a suite case and bring them on the plane lol.

@JoyceJennings Wow, I couldn't disagree more. Don't get me wrong, I am a sucker for smooth sampling like in this teaser, but the raw feeling of chinoiseries was so charming. Funny thing, J dilla started out pretty smooth and went more and more "raw" as time went by. Maybe the smoothness gets boring after a while.

You commercial kats always worried bout clearing samples and shit... that's because y'all don't know how to be Creative and flip it and make it sound like something else...
Hopefully, this album won't sound raw (plain) as the first Chinoiseries did. That was my least favorite album by Onra. He was pretty much just excersising the use of Oriental samples.
This should be good though.
