Truth be told, I kind of came late to the party regarding Les Twins. I had heard about them in passing, yet did not do any research about them. This year, I watched World Of Dance and to my pleasant surprise, I finally saw them in action and to be completely honest, I was dumbfounded by what I saw, I had never seen anyone like them, so I was really rooting for them to win and when they did, I was over the moon for them. I took to the internet to find out more about them. They are two of the most creative, most original dancers I have ever seen and believe me, I have seen many, many dancers, yet none have truly surpassed my expectations than Les Twins. I have collected quite a number of videos from these incredibly talented young men, however, this particular video is so very informative and entertaining, thank you so much for the elaborate and time-consuming video you've created and posted...

I'm new too.Discovered them shortly after losing my mom July 2016. Dyana Bartley, our experience with Les Twins is almost identical! I don't remember having heard of them until the World of Dance show, and was completely mesmerized. I was so ecstatic that they won! After the show, it occurred to me to look them up on youtube and boy, what a treasure trove I have found! I have downloaded over 800 videos (heaven forbid the Internet breaks and I don't have immediate access to them!). I am fully immersed in an unhealthy but exquisitely happy obsession with these two talented young men. They make me smile when I see them dance, when I hear them speak, when I see them interact with each other; I cannot keep my eyes off of them. I wish them joy and peace and a long productive, happy and healthy life. So I can keep watching them....
Dyana Bartley Exactly! Well, join the party! You can never be too late to a Les Twins party. I can relate - imagine catching a glimpse or two of them from Cirque due Soleil on cable tv and then not seeing them again until 2017! I was truly stunned, just like all the many fans that they have across the globe - that's why I told them that "They are the best dancers in the Universe"
I really think someone should put a dvd collection of les twins. I would love to see more interviews and learn about their childhood, siblings, history and everything. I'm pretty sure that the sells would go through the roof. I would love to see more videos of them watching others reacting to their moves. I don't think they realize how special they are. Some have a dancing talent...what they have is a God-given gift. Hands down the best EVER

Yeah I'm not saying it's not! Don't get stuck up on one word or phrase and ignore everything good I had to say about him the entire video! You have to understand how hard it is to make this type of video without offending anyone but being as unbiased as possible. If anything came across as negative towards Les Twins I obviously didn't mean it to because my entire channel is about them.
I love Les Twins and thank you for making this video. I was just saying that's my favourite addition to Laurent's style over the years.
Dope video but don't sleep on lau, if you haven't noticed there's a reason Larry been fanboying over him a lot more lately, his style is becoming truly one of a kind so organic natural looking the raw emotion etc. Ithink him messing his leg up was a good thing made him have to focus on more technical moves then just his death drop.

Part of the info comes from me, and if you know me I've been a fan of Lau over Larry for a long ass time haha. Both of us def not sleeping on him lol, there's only so much you can put in a brief description.

For me it's larry-2012 and Laurent 2017. Idk man, I've just seen something special from Laurent this year. Everything he does just feels raw from the heart, and he manages not to have any wasted moves while doing so. It's indescribable how he's able to portray the vibe of a song so well

@Swaggy1022 they used to be street performers in Paris in the very early days, kinda like a pantomime or mime but Les Twins style. There's a video on CZcams of them putting on a little show. It's amazing! I wish I could remember the name of it for you!

Larry is either 2014 or this year. I love 2014 Larry but this year he seems to be surpassing that highest point as we progress through the year

I feel like I have to say this every time I critique Les Twins. I don't think Lau sucks or is bad in ANY way!! He's been my favorite dancer for years now so I obviously don't think he's bad by any means! The stuff I said in the video is just me comparing Les Twins to Les Twins from last year... if you understand what I'm saying.
I obviously don't have anything bad to say about Les Twins because my entire channel is about them and how good they are! If we as fans can't critique Les Twins then we won't stand a chance explaining how great they are to the real haters!

Unofficial Les Twins Laurent Is amazing so all that same crap is bull he and Larry sometimes do the same dance moves but they both have evolved over the past years they've had they're bad moments and good moments but they're both incredible

I feel like Laurent's style changed depending on the song. He has a feminine side but also a lil beast side he just feels the music and goes ham
He always becomes one with the music and let his body and emotions dance for him instead of his mind. It's so crazy to watch!

Favorite year? Oh man... I can't choose! They've evolved, changed their styles (especially Laurent over the course of many years, and Larry recently) but one thing they've been consistently been doing is kick ass. I feel that for Laurent he's not "lost" finding his own style, although it feels that way. He's always been the "wild and unpredictable" one. So it makes sense that he never really sticks with a style for long. He gets bored and moves on. Larry has always been crazily consistent, and I mean this in a very good way. Such a pleasure to watch both of them grow.
Also, Unofficial Les Twins, I believe the footage from MOMA is this year, not 2016 like you placed it. Other than that, stellar job! I'm a new fan so I'm not sure about any accuracy before end of 2016. Yours and Ken Inao's notes about how they evolved are very informative and helpful. Also, thank you for picking their best videos/works! Then again, most of them are. :)

I love how you put this together. Explains so much that new fans don't know because they are now following after WOD. I did notice in 2015 in the circle Laurent didn't death drop and held his knee so the pain was hurting him way back then. He shouldn't have let it go on for so long.

They are each unique alone but together they are a powerhouse of emotional dancing
Wild these brothers are AMAZING! Like ice cream to a cone, like cream in coffee, they go together smoothly with their moves. I feel good inside just watching them to their thing.
Ive always thought that they are like the perfect balance between each other kinda like ying yang like for example this year lau was having knee problems but Larry came back with all his different styles! There are a lot more examples. Does anyone agree with me?

I am not sure i agree with some of the video comments........... but i suppose it is an opinion and you took time to make it and we all enjoy the ones you do. I love them both and think they are both swinging between learning new stuff ,whether it be from within ( evolving) or being inspired by their journey... and just simply doing what comes naturally without trying to do or be anything other than the dance/music............. i do not think it is as deliberate though as the video suggests ... no offence ..just my opinion....but really, thank you for all you do for all our enjoyment.

Because if so, then I would kind of agree. However, I do also think they’re deliberately trying to evolve. Even though they are extremely talented... no dancer in this world can just learn something without putting hours of working trying to learn it. You know what I mean?

I forgot how I discovered the Les twins but it was on accident and the first video was I think WOD when Larry had them Jordan 14's on back in 2015 I was shocked I was like wtf and so on and I showed my family them along with fikshun. But their style only people with dance experience and people with dance knowledge can understand because their style is crazy like they aren't afraid of any dance whether it's a stero-type dance like Twerking and all that. I watched so many of their videos that I'm addicted to it and since I'm a great dancer I find myself doing some of Larry's moves and I don't even mean to now I cant stop it. I fell in more love with them (No homo) when they did freestyle at they workshop this year that shit was crazy.

same here .. larry 2014 , laurent 2016 ... in my opinion larry was in 2016 almost as bad as laurent in 2014 (he had ofc his shiny moments for example the germany tour was nice) but overall he suckd compared to laurent .. for me 2016 was such a nice year .. seeing laurent come back and fulfilling the potential i always saw in him made me so happy (btw i am a die hard laurent fan^^) :) but this is life .. history repeats over and over ... so in 1-2 years larry will be better again ^^ sorry for my bad english
Ken Inao I've read so many of your comments and always enjoy hearing what you have to say. It's almost as if you can read my mind and put into words what I'm thinking but unable to translate it into a comment without sounding like I'm babbling. Lol. One thing no matter which one is having an off spell the other seems to compensate for it so it evens out ending in putting on a spectacular display for all of us to enjoy! They ALWAYS hypnotize me!!! Ugh I just love them and am completely addicted!!

This was a beautiful video! You put so much thought into this. As I usually say I just think they keep evolving, there is nothing they won’t try or be afraid to do. That’s why they are the best because they aren’t afraid to be unique, they aren’t afraid to try things that other dancers/people won’t try. They don’t care what anyone thinks of them, how they look when they dance or what they wear or the love they show between each other. I think they purposely switched their styles of dancing so people wouldn’t keep associating them together just because they’re twins, they wanted to be individually unique. Larry has this type of precise dancing, like every movement/isolation has to be connected, there has to be a Point A to Point B and he’s very good at improvising like coming up with things on the spot when he freestyles. Laurent has this type of abstract style of dancing, there is no direction, it’s just him and the music, it’s like he gets sucked in and just flows wherever he wants but there’s this controlled fluidity he has that makes it look so beautiful.

I only like to add that dance like any art is perceived subjectively, which is why one is drawn more to one artist than another. It is visceral. And I really like Larry's style, always have. Laurent's style was a bit out of control last year, I think it's good that he has to control himself because of his injury.

In one hand, you have the hyper aggressive and merciless bucket hat performances/battles; in the other, you have fro Larry in his black toe Jordan 14's with his best footwork and coordination literally ever. As for Laurent - 2011, Extremely versatile full body musicality

To me they are both great dancers to f not the best right now. But Larry got a great style due to his footwork which is fast. Also Laurent is more prolific when it comes to low floor movement. They both great.

I completely appreciate the effort you put into creating such a well thought out quality product. You can tell it was a labor of love. I agree that Larry is a master of precision and technically. He is a wonder to behold. I love him! I also think that Laurent deserves his due as well. As a dancer I appreciate his creativity and willingness to take risks and give himself to the music and the emotions it evokes. You never know what he is going to do.He takes you on an adventure every time. I know from WOD it was impossible to keep my eyes off of him. He just breathed the music... injury and all. He inspires me to give it all. He is all heart. He leaves it out there on the floor for his brother and their journey. Every time...l love him and recognize him as poetry in motion. I can't wait to see what these miracles do next!

You are so wrong about Larry & Laurent. You can not perfect perfection. Their dancing changed every year and was always on point. My favorite is all their dancing but 2017 has been the best so far.
Their is always critique to be made even when everything looks perfect because as we know... nothing is perfect. Obviously I'm not saying they sucked in a specific year and I would NEVER say that because even in their worst years they were better than mostly all dancers, BUT it is important as real fans to critique their work to see when and where they struggled and how they improved on it next year. If they were always perfect since 2010 then they wouldn't have changed their style at all. Larry and Laurent have both admitted that they hate watching old videos of themselves because they think they were bad back then. So if Les Twins can look back and say where they messed up, I think making a video and addressing the same issues doesn't make me "wrong".

From the year 2017 Lau started to become a master at this style. Execution became more clean and the freestyles became more easier to understand

Lau 2014 just blew my mind. Even though I really like what he's doing now, (so subtle, so much texture) to me that year feels like the most focused. That and the storytelling and physical speed of 2010-2014. Les Twins dancing will never happen like that again.
