Hey Lads! Today ill show you the longer way to change the bulbs although it hurts you less! Thank you for watching and i hope i helps one of you out there!
You don’t need to remove anything .... changing the bulb on the passengers side is a little fiddly but you can do it with NO TOOLS. Just remove the top off the fuse box - then the clip off the protective cover to the bulbs. Your hand / fingers WILL fit in enough to wiggle the bulb free on its wires - refit bulb ensuring the metal protruding on the bulb is facing up. It’s a gentle push fit - look through the headlight itself to guide you in - job done in under 10 minutes.
I work at halfords and I change a set of 2 headlights in around 5 mins on these corsa... you made the rookie mistake of only replacing one but a 7/10 for effort and a 1/10 for logical thinking.
or you can do it with one hand and a cigarette in the other, pull up the wiper fluid funnel till it comes off, then pull off the lid to fuses on right, "unlock two clips on left of black box". Unclip the metalclip from light cover, and pull out the light. Plug in a new bulb and repeat in reverse. cigarette still lit. Hope that helps some of you chaps.
You saved the day my friend, My Corsa had wire cable loose from heat and without your guide I would have spend many hours more to figure-it out how to remove the headlight. Thank You very much.
If you do want to do it this hard way then don't completely remove the bumper, the two screws in the wheel well and the 4 bolts on the top of the bumper is all that's needed, there's plenty of room to take the headlights out just unclipping the sides of the bumper
Absolutely not necessary to remove the bumper. I've changed every bulb possible. You can grab hold of the windscreen washer tube...just pull out up and it pops out and pushes back in easily. It Gives you plenty of room to change the main beam and sidelights on the nearside. You can also remove the airline and box on the drivers side of you need to. I've also done the other lights without removal of anything also.
Thanks very much for the simple-to-follow guide. Just changed all the bulbs on my son's Corsa D this morning - hopefully the new ones (Philips X-tremeVision) will be brighter than what was in there. Only a couple of comments based on my attempt ... when dropping the bumper down, it's a good idea to support it from below with something of a suitable height (or a helper) so it only drops down very slightly so that the temperature sensor can be disconnected - the cable is not very long. Similarly for the foglight cables, if equipped. My temperature sensor popped out of its mounting hole on the bumper - fortunately the wires are pretty strong. Interestingly on one side the hidden-round-the-side screw bracket had already been snapped off the side of the headlight unit - looks like some cowboy previously changed the bulb and didn't realise there was a third hidden screw and just yanked the unit out, breaking it. Anyway it seems sturdy enough with just the top and inner screws.
Nice video mate, just had to change the bulb on my corsa d and a few hours later i saw your video and realized that probably it was easier to remove the bumper. Your channel is great for the corsa d owners, cheers from Italy
You can actually get away with taking the top and the side of the bumper off and pulling it around a bit to get at the bolts you need to. However it is impossible to do this without taking the lamp out and it is not something that can be done at the side of the road when its dark which totally defeats many european countries (like Germany) insisting you carry a bulb kit so you can change them at the side of the road!
Just replaced mine. Didn't need to remove anything for the passenger side other than the fuse box lid and had to unscrew the air filter lid to get to the driver side. This is how not to do it. lol
@@TomsDriveway tbh i like the gear linkage alignment video. im finding the gear selection a bit notchy on mines. so i will give it a try by the weekend. so thanks for providing these videos. very helpful tom.
Do you know how to remove the fuse box in the engine bay? I have changed my headlight bulbs a couple of times by only removing the fuse box lid however as you say it is a struggle.
Hey do u know links to any decent 5000k+ bulbs for corsa that are good priced Also is it possible to fit in bulbs without removing bumper and if so can we have a tutorial on it please !
You can indeed fit them with removing the bumper. Same principle just rather awkward to get your hand in without cutting them up. Philip's diamond vision is the only ones I can see. Not too cheap tho. I have osram night breakers...not amazing tbh
Its how I've do mine (air filter box and hose). Got fairly big hands too. Passenger side is fairly easy to get to. Getting the covers back on can be a right pain though. Can't work out why the dip bulbs blow more than the main beam lights (most of my driving is in the dark). Must have changed four sets of dip bulbs now (135K miles), not one high beam....yet!
FUCK ME!!! the easy way is A. Take the lid off the fuse box nearside B, take the airbox out on other side. Takes 15 mins at tops. Sorry mate, this ways is totally unnecessary
Shocking crap design from vauxhall. To be fair, they are the king of crap, so no surprises their designers are retards that don't factor in any maintenance,. Put my car into the garage to change an indicator bulb. Vauxhall should be closed down if this is seriously the best they can do. Great video - thank you!

Just remove your air intake filter box and the top off your fuse box. You can reach both lights without removing the front bumper....

Well done Tom. Clear and concise. No ums, ems or errrss. Thanks.

The candle that burns twice as bright burns for half as long...

Thank you very much for that comment! Im glad it helped! Sorry for slow reply.
Nice information video however I just stick my hand in pull out the bulb takes 5 minutes top. Hardest bit is relocating the cover afterwards.
Thank you, check out some of my other videos. They might be more interesting. You arent wrong about those stupid covers.
Perfect guide. May need to replace the headlight on mine so it helps knowing exactly what needs doing.
Well done. I have to replace my bulb too, also on the driver's side. Why does this always happen in winter time?
All that to change a bulb no wonder why I see so many corsa with no headlights
I know haha, its mad. It can be done without removing but who wants to rip their hands apart not me.
Rip their hands apart, I’ve got arthritis in my fingers and managed it fine
Can you do a video on replacing the radiator
Jeremy Beadle would have done this in seconds.
You don't need to take the full bumper off just one side it's a 30 min job from start to finish.
Yeah, i did mention you dont have to take it off at all but you are right.
Does the bumper come off in sections? I need to change the foglight bulb on the drivers side as my MOT is coming up. Thanks in advance
Remove the bumper? And I thought it was a potch removing the air air box to change the driver side head lamp bulb on my 63 plate Corsa D!

Hi do you perhaps know how to fix a faulty bonnet cable or latch on the Corsa D?
Just replaced mine. Didn't need to remove anything for the passenger side other than the fuse box lid and had to unscrew the air filter lid to get to the driver side. This is how not to do it. lol
I don’t think you needed to take the bumper off mate! 🤣
Haha I did say that but makes it easier plus shows people how to take it off...
hi mate , i found is easier to remove the wheel and go in through the wheel arch. or ask halfords to replace the bulbs for a fiver haha
Hahaha yeah or do that, just wanted to show removing the bumper tbh
@@TomsDriveway tbh i like the gear linkage alignment video. im finding the gear selection a bit notchy on mines. so i will give it a try by the weekend. so thanks for providing these videos. very helpful tom.
Thank you, its alot of effort but comments like that make it worth it.

I was gonna remove the fuse box but its all plastic so i got worried it would break tbh
Why are you not posting more videos?
Take the air box out behind the headlight. Lol removing the bumper is mental idea
Thank you!!
I will remove bumper when im cleaning intercooler. This will come in handy.
Brilliant, glad the video could be of some use!

Can you do a video changing a Corsa d pollen filter?
Already have, cabin filter video! 🤗
Dude, how did you made your car not do the annoying beep when locking/ unlocking.
Mine doesn't do it sorry?
@@TomsDriveway yeah, so you don't know how to turn it off?
I don't nope, mine doesn't beep. I assume it's the alarm turning on. Check you vehicle handbook maybe instructions on how to turn it of

Tom's Driveway thanks for that
Also wondering if it is easy to remove and put bumper back on? What difficulty rating would you give it out of 10
So long as the screws all come out easy, I'd give it a rating of 3 or 4 maybe
Anees Afzal be warned, if you’re in the UK any halogen bulb over 4200k will fail an MOT
I never took my bumper off
Pain in the ass bud had to do one in the pishing rain once... Wasn't even my motor 😂
Haha nightmare! Worst when it ain't even yours
do corsa lite have front park lights🤔cant find them?
As you know only 5 screw to remove headlight :) Not the bumper :P
Hi mate, l replaced all my bulbs and l didn't remove bumper. By the way excellent music.
As i said at the end you can haha, its just less knuckle busting haha. Thanks i was worried people were gonna be like bad choice.
Garage changed my bulb in 4 mins cost me £5
Wearing goggles to remove a bumper omg 😮
Dont wanna get shit flung in my eyes, may aswell use them as i usually forget.
@@TomsDriveway thats the fun on not wearing them
I did it, removed just air filter, that's it, don't need to do ol this job, even tools!!!
Indeed, i did say that in the video. Just an alternative for the people with big hands. I have done it without too...
Maks koks Try that on the passenger side mate - it’s impossible
Hahaha thanks mate
