I was taught that common a language (Greek), Pax Romana (Peace), and Roman roads helped prepare the world for Jesus. But, I’ve never heard a lot of the information you shared. Som thank you! God was definitely at work in the world. I think the term “400 silent years” refers to the fact that he didn’t speak through prophets during this time. Your video got me thinking that just as God was working behind the scenes for Jesus coming to earth, he’s also working in our messed up world today, helping people get ready for Jesus to return.

Maybe you could do another one , showing how the levitical priesthood had been exiled to Qumran and replaced by the Hasmonian order of Pharisees and Sadusees . It is my believe that had the Levitical priesthood still be in place in the time of Yahusha ( Christ ) , He might never have been crucified , annulling the purpose of His coming to earth , and therefore our salvation .

Actually the original Septuagint was only the Pentateuch (5 Books of Moses), the rest of the tanakh was translated decades later.
Alexander and Ptolemy were kind to Jews and many Jews settled in Egypt. The older Jews were alarmed at the younger generations forgetting Jewish traditions and adopting Greek culture. So Jews were eager to have the Old Testament in Greek to restore the people into Hebrew culture of sacred religion. Greek philosophy versus Sacred scripture and religion.

@@thatyoumayknowhim it would be nice if it was turned down though. Anyone who struggles to hear will not be able to understand the words over the loud music. My favorite is intro and outro music but no music during the main part so it is more easily understood and less distracting. Great video otherwise!
