I liked everything about them, I liked all the hairstyles of the girls, as they were a good mix of styles which for me made it more interesting. Fabulous dancers with beautiful routines by the wonderful Flick Colby.

Legs& Co were great ! Brilliant choreography here. I think many girls then presented better than they do now, the use of makeup generally then was a little more natural, which made it much more appealing and eye catching as many girls today can often put too much on , especially on their eyelashes.
I was in the Army then serving in Northern Ireland ,TOP was the highlight of the week, seeing these lovely dance troupes and the sounds and charts if you weren't staging on. Sad that some of the wee buggers throwing the bricks and bombs etc were no doubt settling down in front of their TVs and watching the same lol
This was Thursday evening light entertainment in the late 70s Britain about 7.30pm on BBC1 scantily clad gorgeous young ladies dancing about on your TV screen ,and as a teenager all i can say is i was very appreciative 😉
1978 are one of my happy year when I was 18 years old living in Isle Of Man. I watch legs&co every week. Oh I love Gill beautiful face .She got curves in her body. Thinking about her now reminds me she's looks like my girlfriend Vicky Ellison. She actually live in Onchon at that time. I won't forget both Vicky & Gill my whole life. ❤❤

Wonderful. ! Wouldn’t be allowed today of course; too normal, natural and certainly not PC . But how nice it was to have experienced those times
......I think that there could be a possible revival of dancers on TV if just one station had courage enough to create a show which included a short dance routine at some point to see the interest created, a mixed dance troupe to begin with initially to avoid comments of sexism. I am sure that there are many young dancers today who would love to have the opportunity of appearing on a TV show. It really needs to be given an opportunity.

I remember back in 1978 there was a news story about someone apparently seeing a Yeti wandering the back alleyways of Brixton, it turned out to be Dave Lee Travis wandering around when his car had broken down.
Takes me back. Whatever your sex, gender identity, colour, race, or religion - I fail to see how you can't just sit back and appreciate these musicians and performers for their talent.

I wish they’d bring TOTP back in some shape or form . Obviously that’s not going to happen with the way music Television goes these days but it was great fun having BBC Radio DJs appear on telly every Thursday evening presenting the week’s hit records and seeing the top acts perform every week. Miming or not these were such great days. And even when I grew up in the 1980’s it was still great fun .

Well it isn't that it's not "allowed" (i.e. it's not illegal). It's just become "socially unacceptable". But these things come and go in cycles. That kind of warm, smiley, ultra-feminine sexiness did come back for a while in the late '90s and early '00s with Louise Redknapp, Kylie Minogue, Gina G and others. So you never know ...

Top of the pop was very popular when I was a kid. By now these girls are in their eighties. Funny to wonder if they watch a vcr tape of their old performances.
They wouldn't be in their 80s....this was 1978, so they would have had to have been at least 38 in this video, more like they are in their late 60s now
music was so much better then, somewhere in the 90s it went all wrong
