Perhaps my favorite song. It takes me back to my 12 years old summer. So many memories. My father bought the cassette and Organisation was the soundtrack of that summer. ❤️
I grew up with OMD......their music walked me through my dark days and bright days...made me cry and made laugh....in my low days brought me up ....love OMD....love this...
I fly & I cry with a smile but I´ll never say goodbye to this song as long as I am alive. Thank you so much OMD for your existence and awesome melodies & lyrics full of essence music...
This is a song I just never want it to end and have to say too it has the listener hooked mesmerised enthralled and left emotionally drained from beginning to end,it more than exemifies much of the work orchestral manoeuvres in the dark have done to date.
I used to listen to OMD in my early teens and loved this song.......I ended up working at Stanlow for 10 years. Great place and great memories with a wonderful soundtrack :-)
Eternally this field remains. We set you down to care for us😢. Amazing song from an amazing album. Great music to grow up to Paul and Andy, thank you🙏🌈
This is one of the things I love about OMD, writing about such unlikely and diverse subjects as an oil refinery, Joan of Arc, dazzle camouflage ships etc. I lived a few miles from Stanlow when I first heard the song, this and Sealand are both superb.
Sealand has gone now. But I lived near Stanlow for a while and also in Meols where they wrote "Red Frame, White Light".....a telephone box in Meols. I've even went to it and dialed the number......when I was a kid 🙃
Can't wait to be well again and see your tour New music and amazing drums I'm as impressed as I hoped to be Here's to a tour and drop in on Scotland please Love OMD as much as I did in 1983 when I first found them ❤❤
I grew up in the shadow of Stanlow. Good vid this is, kudos to OMD for making a track about an oil refinery! It gives an idea of the twinkly lights and how it's a beacon for the whole area. No sense of the roar from the Cracker plant and gaseous smells which it emits though.
Looking at this video and the wonderful sound of OMD it makes you want to go back to the Stanlow oil refinery. The reality of it was and still is a smelly, air polluted place. You became immune to the smell once you worked there for a long time. When you had a holiday time off you could smell it again. I should know I worked at Shell Stanlow for 8 years in the 1970s.
@@Kfinnerty6853 yes on the island , you can find out more in Revealing Cheshire's past . There are still walls standing in places . During the construction of the Stanley Grange housing estate archaeologygists discovered a series of post holes that they believe to be the lay brother's house .
I was there. It made a change seeing real musicians play the song instead of a pre-programmed computer with Paul occasionally using both hands. I would really like to see OMD play with a whole raft of synth players really playing "live"

That sounds like my own experience - so I know you were an amazing 12 year old!
My girlfriend and I fly out from Mexico City to see this concert. Worth it.

I was lucky enough to be at both Concerts. Blown away !!! Loved it
I was on the guest list for both nights. Incredible. Stanlow is an exceptionally beautiful song.
Same! So glad I did it.
Very emotional, even after all these years.

I will never forget the day I downloaded a random discography off thepiratebay in 2004...and fell forever in love with OMD.
Beauty🤩
Notification squad! So happy OMD is back.
They've been back over 10 years mate!
Wonderful
Epic ❤
it reminds me of my Sony walkman, and evenings in Hampstead Heath
outstanding
Great vídeo!
ich wäre so gern mit dabei gewesen in liverpool....dies ist einer der geilsten geniestreiche von O.M.D.....einfach epic
I didn't live too far from Stanlow......few years ago. 😁
Remember my 1st concert seeing OMD in 1981, Liverpool 😎
Beati voi che li avete visti e sentiti dal vivo..... Magari un giorno anche io potrò essere in prima fila ad un loro concerto...
Pure genius
OMD ♥
Preciosa cancion..
That is actually pretty good. And good vocals, too!
Freaking sensational.

I was there :D
I'm a Kiwi, always found this song a very unique vibe.
I knew they'd clap before it finished...... Jeeezz.
True dat - I felt the same when I was there live. You'd think a few of the audience would actually be fans...
@@maylloyd3348 I wasn't there, and that pissed me off even more.
I won't mention the 2 empty seats next to us, then. Some people need a slap.
Clapping anxiety. It's a thing.
May Lloyd one of them had the clap that night
Comments were at 101 Andy ironically, love this song and the cricket match …
👏👏👏👏❤❤❤😍😍

With my bipolar developing nicely for me OMD ticked all the boxes at this time in my life
Fab...u..lous!
Their best song TBH.
That song meant so much to me when I was a teenager....there was a crush on a fiesty redhaired girl from stanlow....wonder where she is now
Alex Price I love this song so much it’s unreal
Dont remember here last name? Facebook her maybe.
Anyone know if this was Saturday or Sunday?
Sunday I think.
Hambi 💔
I didnt think the original version of this could be surpassed, but wow ! Simply stunning ! And that doesn't do it justice !
Andy got the lyrics right on the second night then
What he fecked up the first night ? Would you not think he would know them off by heart ??
@@brody5211 he has a bit of a habit of messing up live lyrics

OMD’s Silent Night
Never liked it on Organisation. Appreciate it now
Amongst all the industry of Stanlow there is a ruined abbey and 28 bee hives
A ruined abbey within Stanlow? I don't know that, are you talking about the Monastic grange in Ince which is outside the Stanlow complex?

I love the industrial sounds that punctuate this song. Are they artificial, or recorded from a particular machine, I wonder..?
yes is wonderful, would like to know the same
Sometimes they forgot the culture over the junk.
But this here is pretty good.
Superb, but imho will forever sound better played on analogue synths.
a song about a dirty smelly oil refinery, am I missing something?
Excellent, but this is a proof that just one analog synthesizer can and do sound better than any philharmonic orchestra in general.
