"Caribbean creole" is a broad term bro. It sounds nothing like our creole (papiamentu) which is more português spanish and dutch based

So we recognise it easily it's about "night"... "soir"
E.g. "aurevoir" ..."voir"

Mais c'est super intéressant de le comparer avec les créoles seychellois et martiniquais. Si tu as des exemples rigolos ou des suggestions à partager, n'hésite pas ! 🎯⭐️💯⭐️

Le mauricien semble garder les accents aigu et grave alors que le seychellois écrirait « manier » comme « leker » (le coeur), et aussi le digraphe « ss » pour le « s » dit dur ou sourd (« lesson »). Intéressant est aussi le « c » dans « corek » tandis les autres créoles se contentent d'un seul signe graphique pour chaque son émis. En outre, la suite « an » (comme dans « anwalé ») dénote le « a » nasal en seselwa alors que [an] aurait la graphie « ann ». Tout ceci selon mes connaissances qui sont loin d'être parfaites !

I am Haitian, and i understand everything. How that? Because Haitian are not from Mauritius. I was told that the Haitian creole was created by slave so the masters wouldn't understand when they are speaking between them. They say because the slave came from many part of Africa, there were many dialect spoken. SO, they kind of use french,English, Spanish that were the languages of the masters and the created the Haitian creole. If this is true, why i am Haitian and i understand everything this lady said. Umh ????

Haitian is part of French creole alongside, creole from Guadeloupe, Martinique, Dominica, St Lucia, French Guiana plus Seychelles, Mauritius and La Réunion. Oh I almost forget Louisiana
