Working as a Forensic Linguistic Expert and Opportunities for Students

Dr. Robert Leonard, Director, provides an overview of the field of Forensic Linguistics. He will discuss the different types of cases-criminal, counter-terrorism, intelligence, and civil, the linguistic investigatory and analytic techniques used in these cases, and the opportunities for students in the program to work on ongoing cases as interns, for example in the innovative Forensic Linguistics Capital Case Innocence Project, a joint venture with the Hofstra Law School.
