At long last, after all the time spent farming gold we FINALLY have enough money to buy what is undeniably the best item in the game: The Dark Adventurer Sails.
The DA Sails are the most sought after cosmetic in the game because they actually give you a tangible advantage in PvP-- But to get our hands on them, we have to finish our gold farm. So let's get that last 1 Million Gold loot haul done so we can actually buy these sails!

The most expensive piece of loot however, is not a grade 5 flag, a reapers bounty or a chest of legends anymore. It’s a CAPTAINS LOGBOOK. if a ship survives 8 hours on the sea without being sunk, it’s worth 25k to reapers, and with a grade 5 flag and the 2.5x bonus from it, meaning the new most expensive item on the sea is a book

@@CompleteSpec the box of wonderful secrets is also around 25k but I’m never gotten one and there’s only two people who you can sell it to so I’m not sure if you can get a flag multiplier on it

I've reached Pirate Legend this week! It took me only 30 days less than Cliff. My first purchase in the Hideout were parrot hair and beard and those incredibly stylish hair dyes. Maybe one day I will be able to buy some of the DA stuff.

Congrats - I'm still working on my solo ascent to Legend.
Hopefully I make it before hanging up my oars, especially considering that, to date, I (almost) haven't engaged in PVP (outside of being ganked by large crews and griefed - although I consider griefing something outside of PVP). I need to find a crew. Even with randoms, I've found that just having one decent player with you makes the game comparatively feel like easy mode (knock on wood) - and it can be more fun.

Some people get really mad when you don’t feel like getting spawn camped and it’s nice to see that people doing what they want for fun will always be the meta.

YEah, those sails really ARE great and fantastic to have on the big ships, sure would be a shame if Rare turned around an- woop, nevermind, they already did it, they ruined the sails. They still cost over 8 mill but now there's no reason at all to get them

i got the Dark Adventure sails and it even helps on the sloop, i was amazed by the added visibility i had, and to be honest most galleons run the opposite way when the see a solo sloop with da sails. And congrats on the sponsor great to see you grow even more. Good luck on the seas captain.

I only have it so I can see better on the galleon and brig it’s a pretty ugly sail that doesn’t really go well with much in my opinion.

Me and my brother (who share an account) have been working for these sails. We have about 5 million right now so we have a lot of work to build up for the sails. Though to be honest I probably wont use them because I am not a fighter type so I have no real use for them. But either way, they are pretty cool sails and it's also nice to see the grind continuing. Keep making amazing videos!

They're totally worth it for the improved view, especially on the brig. You can actually see with the sails down. That said, they draw attention. People think (1) you're sweaty or (2) you're rich and probably carrying loot so they come for you. I notice when I run these I get into way more PvP.

Hey Cliff. Thought i'd mention: If you aim a sword lunge straight down - yes, at the ground - you can strike gunpowder skeletons without setting the keg off.
Granted if you kill them, that fuse will still be lit - so RUN. Figured this will help you save bullets when splitting up.
