The DLC is out, and with it came Keiki Kobayashi's instrumental remix of Kenny Loggins' Danger Zone. I haven't stopped listening to it, and the composer definitely did it justice. I know there's already a few videos of this song out there, but they're all just too quiet for me to enjoy. This video fixes that, so enjoy this awesome remix to your heart's content!

If you played Ace Combat 2, you can feel the strong inspiration of Top Gun in that game, to see Top Gun and Ace Combat doing something together is a beautiful thing to experience

Ace Combat 2 was my first experience as a kid and holy hell it ruined my ability to focus on things not aircraft related later in life
I am an old school Top Gun fan and I loved top gun Maverick and listening to this made me weep with joy as an old school fan of anime growing up I'm now 66 and this brings back so many memories in so many ways.. thank you one and all for letting me experience this

Goddamn, I'm loving the injecting of AC2 OST into this. That game in itself was directly inspired by the original Top Gun movie. This is the most Japanese I've ever heard Danger Zone, and I'm loving it to bits. It screams 80's so damn much.
You can hear a slight hint of Fire Youngman at 2:05 if you listen to the background notes carefully, they didn't need to make this track so good
I goddamned love it, especially because it just makes you feel a lot more suspense right? cos both AC2 and Top Gun are so suspenseful individually, when they mix their themes, it is the definition of suspense and 80s
I think AC1's soundtrack was much closer to the Top Gun vibe than AC2's
Went into a multiplayer match against an F-14D with the Top Gun skin. This track was absolutely perfect for that fight.

If it weren't foe Top Gun we wouldn't have Ace Combat, the top gun craze is what made Air Combat and by succession ace combat so successful
It should be noted that,as per on the only other CZcams video to have this soundtrack,that bits of Ace Combat 2s' soundtrack can be heard in this,because AC2 and it's related BGM were based around Top Gun.

Funny thing is Fire Youngman itself, along with a lot of the other soundtracks in AC2, was inspired by the original Top Gun

I can literally hear the AC2 extracts going on in the background, loved this soundtrack because of that little Fire Youngman segment going on in the background.

Maverick, the best Ace Combat film never made. Seriously the end is straight up White Noise and the next game I'm dying for a few nods back. A volleyball or beach football scene? Huxian getting her jollies watching the Strangereal equivalent of the film? Maybe Edge test piloting Pilgrim One and it's a Dark Star or Blackbird style plane.
when in the film the 'briefing screen' for a canyon run mission that requires insane manoeuvres to complete came up it was amazing

A part of me kinda wished this music played in the final battle between Maverick and Rooster's F-14 and the Su-57 Felon in the movie.

From what I've heard from other people, you can only hear it in multiplayer, nowhere else
You can only hear it on Fort Grays or Waiapolo mountains I think

Playing this on the 360 I loved the multirole game. Air superiority and and air to ground roles. Couldn't as for a better game.
