That steering wheel is not factory and the red stripping on the side is not factory. These cars did not come from factory with side stripes, only a straight stripe across the trunk...thats it. Those are not the factory mats either.
Does it have the 4 6 8 engine? ...computer controlled cylinder use for economy.

Oh boy, this one a gem Michael! What color is the top? FWIW, I had an '81 Sedan de Ville with the 8-6-4 engine, but mine worked and on trips I got as much as 27mpg. Thanks to the computer readouts, you could actually see your mpg change and adjust your driving accordingly. Everyone panned this car back in the day and said the engines were bad. Not so. It wasn't the engine; it was the computer chips that were bad, but their "badness" if you will, was random. I got lucky with mine. You can correct me, but I believe the chips were FoMoCo chips. Go figure. The engine was a magnificent 368 CI cast iron engine. As the years went on a lot of hot rodders favored these engines for their builds.

I'm not sure I understand your question, but if you're asking about mine, yes, it had the 8-6-4 with a throttle body injection setup. This was I guess the first experiment with cylinder de-activation which I think went into dormancy until the C7 came out. Now I think with the C8, it's gone back into hibernation if you will.

First off, thanks for the photos. I thought the top might be white, but I wasn't sure.
As to engine in this one, you said it has the aluminum 4100 engine, so it's not the 8-6-4.
P.S. to my '81. Mine was black w/saddle leather interior and a matching canvas roof. It looked like a 4-door convertible. I also had the "real" Kelsey-Hayes chrome wire wheels. Boy was it a looker!
