When I was a child I remember my Best friend (not mentioning her name) used to come to my house for sleepovers and we would listen to these songs all night and wouldn’t sleep , then when we herd our dad coming in to check all that noise we would pause the song and act to sleep like innocent kids. I must say that a lot of people think that they had a bad life. I was the shortest kid in school, by far, and grew up in the foster system. Life could be better, but think about the children really suffering. The real pain in the world, and growing up starving, being raped daily, and beaten by everyone in your life. If you are still here then life was not too much. Could have been better, but definitely could have been way worse. Be strong, and don't let your weaknesses keep you down. Life can be grand, I still have to believe that. Because the alternative is not something I want to think about. I got love for everyone, especially my fellow misfits. We are not alone, and surely need to stick together!!! Much luv and air hugz from me to you!!!

I'm turning 16 in a couple of months and honestly these songs take me back to my childhood, I used to dance to these songs and I still would, these songs take me back to when I was a kid, when everything was simple and life didn't get super difficult over night. Thank you for that...this playlist really made me forget my problems, even if just for a minute.

If these are your “childhood” songs then you’re still basically a kid. The person who made this playlist is probably like 19 years old. 23 at most. I grew up with classic rock, you know back in the day where musicians actually had to know how to play instruments and also had to be insanely good at them. Teens would sit in their rooms their whole childhoods and spend thousands of hours perfecting their talent until they finally get that one break they were always dreaming of. And when they finally climb up on that big stage, they are brought to tears bc they worked so hard. Fans are losing their minds bc you are the best at your craft. Now, everything is pop and most of it sounds the same. You can chuck out a popular pop sing in 30 minutes by following a simple formula and then posting it online, not ever having to work for any of it. And it’s undeserved. You made it just bc you’re likable online. Not to mention 99% of your favorites songs aren’t even created by the people you’re listening to. Each song was bought from someone else.
alright, just hear me out before I get hate comments. I am 17 now, and if im being honest, I can only relate to some of these songs. if a song like we dont talk about bruno is from your childhood, you are at most 10 years old. the movie is not even old enough to be nostalgic. like call me maybe is definitely from my childhood, like songs from the early 2000s and 2010s are the ones that hit home. but the ones I relate to the most are ones from like 70s, 80s, 90s, stuff like that. like "everybody wants to rule the world", that one is an absolute banger when it comes to nostalgia.

call me baby brings me the most memories. I was around 13 when that song came out and it was the peek of my childhood! I played with my twin sister every day with a smile on my face. The one memory I get when I hear that song is when my mom and aunt would take me and my sister to this outlet mall and that song would play in the food court over and over again around that time. Ahh, I want those days back more than anything.
