    Great video! I love my Elantra N. Most fun car I e ever owned. Unfortunately us in North America won’t get adaptive cruise with the facelift model. Also, there are so some minor upgrades on the facelift model, like better motor mounts and improved suspension, but otherwise everything else is pretty much identical.

    I love my EN. I have no complaints, however the only two things that is a con for me is the interior noise coming from the plastic dashboard and radio. And also the light dome. It makes noises when you go on bumpy roads..it's quite annoying. Other than that, I love it.

      Great choice! Now that my golf R has been stolen, I'm thinking the K5 GT in Wolf Gray with the black panoramic sunroof. I find it absolutely gorgeous... Very similar to an Audi S5 sportback.
      The 2025 has a refresh that I also like... However I much prefer the quad round tailpipes, as opposed to the new square style tailpipes on the 2025 GT model.

    @Daveyboy_GolfR Před 2 měsíci

    It really isn't a great looking car. The new style Elantra came out so that's what they had to work with to make the Elantra N.
    They coulda done a universally awesome rear diffuser like on the Integra type S, some 4 piston front calipers, And those 2 additions alone would definitely have improved the look of the EN.
    But it's SO FANTASTIC in so many other areas that they're still sold out everywhere. Thankfully the refresh does give the face an actual identity, but that black lower rear end piece is horrendous.
    But I will say there's no car that performs like the EN in the $30s.
    And the fact that 7 different systems can have the aggression adjusted into different levels like the engine, trans, exhaust, steering, dampers, LSD, ESC is incredible!
    Only cars like $90K plus M cars, AMG's, Blackwings, etc have that level of versatility in terms of adjusting individual systems.
    I only wish they offered it in AWD as an option which I would happily pay extra for.

      @@RicheeRevs I'm embarrassed to say that I've never actually seen an EN in person. And I'm out on the roads everyday, yet nothing. Maybe seeing it strictly on my phone doesn't do it justice.
      I know that when I saw the K5 GT in a review on my phone, I wasn't all that impressed. It looked okay but no big deal. And the interior looked even less impressive on video.
      But then I went to a dealer and saw a brand new 2023 K5 GT in person and WOW... It looked exactly like an Audi S5 sportback. Especially in Wolf Gray with that massive black panoramic sunroof.
      And then when I went to sit inside, I really liked the interior, compared to seeing it on my phone.
      I'm assuming the same would go for the Elantra N. I have a feeling if I finally see a new one in person, and sit in it, I'll probably be sold.
      I know that if I can actually drive it, then it'll be a done deal.
      Apparently my MK7 Golf R felt much less racy and even disconnected compared to this EN scalpel.
      I just have to experience it for myself. Every single EN owner and journalist that reviewed them agree that it is like a race car for the road, while being great as a daily.
      Not all of them can be wrong.

    • @Daveyboy_GolfR
      @Daveyboy_GolfR Před měsícem +1

      @@khau.cr2 Looks are totally subjective, I agree. But there are levels to that. There are many situations where the vast majority of people agree.
      Is Scarlett Johansson attractive?
      Is Jordan a great basketball ball player?
      Is the 911 GT3 fun to drive?
      Is the Aston Martin DBS an attractive vehicle?
      The vast majority would be in agreement on all those questions.
      But when it comes to the Elantra EN, The reactions to its looks are VERY mixed.
      Moreover, It's very rare that you'll find someone who would consider it's exterior styling to be gorgeous or stunning.
      But when we factor in it's fantastic performance, versatility, and everything I mentioned in my original post, it's arguably the greatest performance bargain on the road today.

    • @khau.cr2
      @khau.cr2 Před měsícem +2

      @@Daveyboy_GolfR You can make great points, I respect that. The problem is you’re disregarding people’s opinions on what they think is attractive and what is not. The Elantra N is an attractive car to me, but it doesn’t have to be for you. The examples you provided are also a hit or miss.
      Scarlett Johansson is quite often considered attractive, but some people may not think so because she’s just not their type of woman to consider attractive. Maybe she’s too short or too tall. Maybe her hairstyle isn’t what they like. Maybe they don’t like her facial features.
      Jordan is not a great example because he has achievements that put him at the top. There’s no doubt that he’s a great NBA player. This no longer becomes a subjective topic and leans more towards to an objective topic. If you had said, “Is MJ the greatest NBA player in history?”, then this would be a subjective topic.
      The 911 GT3 would certainly be fun to drive for me, but what if someone else only has fun in a straight line and believes that the GT3 is too slow and boring? Very possible. This makes it a subjective topic.
      Aston Martin DBS is an attractive car to me, but it can also be the opposite for others.
      If the opinions on the EN’s looks are “VERY MIXED”, then that just leaves room for debate on whether or not the EN is an attractive car. Just because you don’t believe the EN is an attractive car doesn’t mean everyone believes the same.
      It doesn’t matter if a majority thinks one thing and a minority thinks the other. The only exceptions to this I’d imagine would be for moral and ethical reasons.
