Pastor, are you saying that a wife should never have a job? You said it's not referring to a "Career woman," but is that wrong?
It's not wrong for her to have a job. Have you read Proverbs 31 for yourself? It's so important for us as children of God to read the message the Lord has given us.
Not only was she working - she was an entrepreneur! The message is she's able to do this because her strength comes from the Lord. God has called us all to different walks in life. And having a Proverbs 31 "heart" means you strive for excellence and innovation in which ever arena God has placed you
Her career is her husband and children. She never abdicates these. I studied the real estate market from home for 8 years and found my husband and us a 2,500 square home for $30,000 under market value because it just needed paint and carpet. We sold our home that was half the size for MORE than the larger home. This is an example of how a wife prospers a husband. If I worked outside the home, I wouldn’t have time to do this and our mortgage would like be double or more than it is now. Our house payment is only $100 more per month. Our utilities are same because we have lots of trees around us. No, the man’s domain is “the Gates” and hers is the home. Gorbachev said Russia has the about the lowest life expectancy because of trying to make women like men over there and now they finally see their utter foolishness in this. Napoleon said to help France regain prominence in the world to, “Give us better mothers.” A woman. An throw herself into work outside the home or her family, BUT NOT BOTH. Children are eternal souls. Any work position is replaceable, but a mother can not be replaced. Hope this helps. The Proverbs 31 woman lives to please and serve HER husband and children. How much more of a paradise would our world be if all wives did this.
Efua She DELIVERED her girdles to the merchant. Delivery-dropped off. She worked from home. She was most always looking well to the ways of her household. She had to BE THERE to do that.
