I've avoided these at the supermarket for years because I thought they were a gimmick. Watched video on it, and decided to get one. Truly the best scourer I have ever used. One feature that won me over that you didn't mention is that it is nice and thick so ergonomically so much more comfortable to use than those flat green things.
Same. I love how is doesn't retain odors like regular sponges.
I avoided these for years as well for the same reason. I just got some yesterday and I now see the light😂
If you want to get just one to try, get the Scrub Mommy. It gives you more options not only in terms of material, but also in terms of water temp-the foam stays soft even in cold water. So if you don't have access to warm water but want a soft sponge, you're covered.
If you find that you never use the foam or that it doesn't stand up to rough surfaces to way you'd like, then you'll know to get the Scrub Daddy next time.
This right here 🤝🏽 did the same as my first round knowing that I can always order a srub daddy later on 😂 and even my mom got one to try and we both love this sponge cause it is the best one to get here in my area and our stores 😂

I am pro scrub mommy. I have had mine for months and it still looks brand new and cleans multiple things.

I only use mine on certain things. Now if I was to clean my oven or something like that it would definitely go in the trash. I have backups.

I’ve been using the scrub daddy ever since it came out on QVC! When the mommy came out I got it too...they are the only sponges I use. They never smell, you can use on windows, glass top stoves and absolutely will never scratch! Love love them..have given them as gifts a lot and the people are amazed at how they work. Best sponge ever 👍👍👍👍
Next they should make: scrub grandma, scrub grandpa, scrub auntie, scrub uncle, scrub brother and sister 😂

I thought I knew the difference before watching, but I learned way more than I thought possible lol. The best part was the soap mustache! I’ll be using that technique for sure :)

Thank you! I had no idea what the “thing” was with these sponges. I even had a few scrub mommies lol. I thought they were like a novelty type sponge- smiley face n all. Now I know their qualities and purposes. Definitely worth buying a couple of both for sure!

Thanks for posting this. I have seen these sponges at Lowe's and was wondering what was the difference between the two. The boxes didn't let you take them out and didn't realize there was two sides to the scrub mommy. Again... thank you for posting this.

SD or SM with a tad of dish soap or Bar Keeper powder are my only product I use and they do marvels 🌹
I just started using scrub daddy’s and they are way better then regular sponges. What do you think about the papaya reusable paper towels? So far I am loving them. They are great for spills and quick counter clean ups.

Thank you for breaking this down. I have the Scour Daddy (Dobbie pad shape) for exclusive use on glass cooktop - cleans hardened spills effortlessly - no elbow grease required and crumbs just fall off under faucet (not sure if Scrub Daddy gets crumbs in crannies).

Brand new subscriber AND brand new purchaser of the Scrub Daddy. I saw the Scrub Mommy in the store, but since I didn't realize there's a difference, I didn't buy it. Now that I know--thanks to you!--the difference, I will also purchase the Scrub Mommy the next time I go to Walmart or my local grocery store.

I have both of them and LOOOOVE them... With the scrub Daddy I succeeded to take the white cloud over the glass element of my previously owned & not taken care of properly glass stove top... this with Bar Keeper powder (the copper box). It was almost a miracle... my stove top look almost like new and shine.
Now, my second exploit was my bathroom sink. I don't know what the previous owner did in that sink but it was hues of pale fushia pink and powder blue and rough texture. For 3 years I scrubbed and scrubbed and nothing happened really. Then, after I got my scrub Daddy, I took my Bar Keeper & the SD sponge and tried it... I was flabbergasted... it worked fantastic and my sink is now super white, shiny, like new ... soooooo happy!
So yes! I will stock up on the SD. Now, I have the SM too but what I find sad is the the sponge "unglued" from the scrubber so now, I have to take 2 sponges instead of one but... Oh! Well!

OMG, OMG! Previous owner left the stove top all wrecked. It had cloudy circles and a large area where you could see right through the (previously black) glass top, to the burner mechanism below the surface. The stove top was smooth and appeared clean but totally ugly wrecked so I figured I'd have to get a new stove. I saw your comment, had bar keepers friend and a never tried Scrub Daddy. With barely any work all that damage completely disappeared. The stove top is actually back to perfectly shiny black like brand new. Incredible! Never would have thought that was possible. thank you for your Scrub Daddy comment.
@@donnadixon289 Oh! That is WONDERFUL 🌹 I also had a sink in my bathroom. I don't know what the previous owner did but it was like... how can I say ... hues of turquoise and bubble gum pink in the sink... probably some kind of chemicals. So, scrub and scrub but the hues stil there. Then I told myself, if it did miracles on the stove top, why not on the sink porcelaine. And I did it... and now, my sink is pure white and shiny like new. Those two together (Bar Keeper powder & Scrub Daddy) are little miracles.

I’ve been hearing about scrub daddy for years. I even watch the videos they post on their CZcams but never got one. It wasn’t until recently where a friend asked me if we had a Scrub mommy to spare. I didn’t so i went to the store and I bought her one and I purchased both the mom & dad for myself. I was shocked on how good it works!! My favorite is the scrub mommy.

i got a 4 pack of the color code scrub daddys. i put the first one in cold water and it didn’t stay to form and when i tried to clean my stove top it didn’t get the grime off either. What happened?
The powerscrub paste is pretty good but requires quite a bit of rinsing any tips?
i ride for this brand fr. i don’t have a dishwasher so i put them in the washing machine and they’re fine. fr cannot say anything bad about them

I first started using the scrub Daddy when it appeared on Shark Tank by the guy who stayed home and was a Mr. MOM. He invented them. I love them and they work fantastic. My favorite one is the Scrub Daddy. but I use both...

I was today old when I learned the cutsie smiley face was also a functional design. In cups, the eyes allow you to have a grip if you put your fingers in them (that sounds aggressive, but remember... we're talking about cleaning)
And the mouth is for meant for utensils and works well with tongs.

A question. How to clean in between the two panes of glass on a shower screen when they always overlap?
Had another client I cleaned for today also with this same issue. 2 panes of glass always overlap. The gap is about 1/4 inch

Just got my first scrub daddy, I am hoping it can fix my bathroom! (wee have super hard water, and bad ventilation, so you have to scrub a lot - I am hoping scrub daddy can take some of the hard work out of it).
Hadn't heard the cold/warm water trick though. So for the stubborn stains, it would actually be better to use cold water, and then clean afterwards with warm?

I thought the scrub mommy has one side of soft foam and then the other side is the same exact material as the scrub daddy.
Have you ever tried the scrub daddy power paste?
Scrub daddy is also good to scrub potatoes of their peel or to clean lemons before you zest the peel. Just make sure you get one to use only for this purpose. Try a green one for this.
Would you use the same scrub mommy for doing dishes and wiping things down or have two?

I got both the scrubbers from the dollar store. I really love them (I prefer the daddy in my kitchen) but they seem to fall apart within 3 months. From what I have seen the dollar store ones are not as thick as the original. However, it was a good test to see if I would even like using them.
That's a good thing beings you don't want a sponge around that long anyhow

I have been wondering what the equivalent for scrub daddy is for floors? I have done caked-on dirt on linoleum tiles that I'm struggling with.
So they actually just released a mop made out of the same stuff. I just got mine so I gotta test it out some more to give my recommendation but on paper it’s really cool and seems great for scrubbing.
