People bashing him for his mistakes but he played really well, especially given the team around him.
I agree

He needs to work on the fumbling thing tho
This is one of the hardest places to play, and the eagles fanbase is brutal. You have to extremely mentally tough to play here, that's why Hurts fitts in.
Only wentz fanboys bashes him, they hating on the kid when they know he’s better than wentz
Eagles fan here that believes 100% in Hurts. He had a lot of success in a toxic situation most QBs would've failed at. His confidence is infectious and you can see it's effect on the team. Hopefully the FO and coaching staff feel the same. Fly eagles fly
The Eagles looked dead when Wentz was playing but were playing with heart when Hurts was in the field👏🏾
As a lifelong Eagles fan I gotta say Hurts reminded me of a young McNabb in that Saints game. He has my support 100% going forward
If he can prove hes a good passer I’ll believe in him
@@Thelayedbackgamer He threw the ball pretty well, better than Lamar. He’s also a rookie.

I had my faith in him all they way I was just waiting coach to bring him in
Hopefully he gets to play, im done w Wentz
💯💯💯
Just like Wentz was supposed to be the QB for 10 years and Yall were gonna run the East and become a dynasty
I've never seen someone hated on so much and still proving his doubters wrong
As an Alabama fan we’ve seen it since his sophomore year... every game tua would check in when they were up big every just wanted to see tua start then tua starts and jalen stayed at Alabama and won the game against Georgia in the sec chip after everyone hated on him and now it’s all just coming full circle with eagles fans... he might not ever be a superstar but he’ll for sure give the better mariota qualities as a an and at worst a taysom hill type player which is becoming more valuable in today’s game
Tom Brady?
What did he prove? He went 1-3 in the games he started. 7-20 tonight with less than 100 yards
What did wentz prove?
Aaron Rodgers? Dak? Herbert?
I don't see how Hurts going 1-3 is an indication he was playing poorly. He inherited a 3-8-1 team, beat the 10-2 Saints, went toe to toe with Kyler Murray and the Cardinals, and his only really "bad" game was when the coaching staff was blatantly tanking against Washington.
For a rookie's first 4 games, he played excellent ESPECIALLY considering the entire team around him was trash aside from his running back.
Shouldve finished the game vs Washington. Jalen has a bright future he has some Russell Wilson to him
Yeah

The 6th pick was worth it
And aid the Giants? Naah, Cowboys different story: we would challenge the motive of going for it on 4th rather than kick a tying FG. But I ain't saying they threw the game the coaches that is; it just looks like it.
Hurts going into his second season with healthy O-line and a new weapon in devonta smith. 100% believe he’s gonna shine next season. Dudes a grinder and has that dawg mentality💯
Yes! Very excited to see him week 1 starter
He couldn't hit devonte at bama and he will miss him in the NFL. Hurts got punked out at bama....

People love to point out his mistakes like he’s not a rookie. You can see when a player has IT and hurts certainly fits the category.
I noticed lol like I think it’s because he was drafted in the second round because whenever overhyped first rounders make mistakes, “it’s only his rookie year relax”, but when Hurts does, “y’all really wasted your second round pick on an average QB🤦🏾♂️” . The bias is insane lol
@@rorisangpitswane3595 what? Tua is getting crucified for having a typical rookie year, what are you on about lmao. Both of them are gonna breakout this coming up year imo, their teams just gotta get pieces around them
The thing I love about his film is that he’s most comfortable when the play breaks down and he has to make a play, that’s something you can’t teach. He will get better with the basic reads and accuracy just because of his intangibles. 2 years from now you’ll be looking at a top 10 QB and MVP candidate
Lol
We should've opened our eyes to the QB situation in Philly when we were 1-3-1 and down 17-0 to the ravens and Jalen Hurts came in and had our "best play of the day".
He’ll be a menace in the next few years.... and I’m a Steelers fan

@@TwiStedReality1313 I mean do you see Eagles making another miracle run in the next 5-7 years?
@@lyrics2challengedlol
He suffered from typical rookie mistakes considering the o-line and play calling. With some development in accuracy, better coaching and a healthy team he can improve greatly in year 2. I still think he was a steal in 2nd round. Now the ball is really in his hands.
I think he did very well as rookie! Showed a ton of poise, and keeps eyes downfield looking to throw the ball firstly, despite his mobility. Goes through his reads, while yes a bit slower, but normal for rookies and compared to other rookie QBs he is ahead of the curve IMO!
Our future..
Anyone else here after the Eagles made it to SB57 with Hurts and they’re 8-1 the year after?
10-1 after 5 touchdowns and leading mvp odds 😮💨

@@KuyBurgOfficial props to you and all those fans for staying there when they were down big and in those conditions. The linc had to be going crazy after that Elliot kick!
@@maestro3880 one of two times I ever felt the Linc shake. The other was Foles’s last home game against the Texans when he got hurt and everyone cheered “Foles”
You know the thing that most people is failing to realize is this he did the this being very much without being experienced. Some of the throws he made were not rookie type throws and more importantly the confidence was just unmatched. Also he did all that without his starting offensive line being healthy and also with not so great play calling. My question to everyone is what will this dude do this year with A wideout that he fully believes in. In a system that is made for him to succeed in?
Accurate deep balls from the pocket, couple back shoulders, mobile, throws well on the move, extremely confident and teammates wanna play with him. Look like a franchise guy to me
I don't care what anyone says, he moves and throws the ball like Russell Wilson. Give him a good off season and the right coaching he's going to shock a lot of naysayers
He's gonna have a great year next season all he has to do Is work on the fumbling issue everything else looks great. If he can get that figured out he'll be a star
And maybe works on his throwing a little bit
and maybe work on his progressions and footwork when delivering the ball.
He doesn’t have the tools to be a full season QB, he’ll have a career like Tyrod Taylor.. and that’s ok
Also the Eagles need to add talent and not get hurt every 12.5 seconds. I don't want this to be a Wentz scenario again, or a Drew Lock scenario where he saves jobs and sucks next year
Repetition and rapport with youngs guys will hopefully help his accuracy too. He can improve on ball placement so receivers are safer when they catch the ball. Hopefully a healthier offensive line will do him justice too. The Eagles have a lot of questions about what to do to be competitive in the NFC east again, especially after tonight's shitshow.
Jalen Hurts is a Mike Vick throwback. Eagles surround this dude with talent. It's on!!
Look now lol
I really think he has a ton of potential
Philly fan here. Im 100 percent ready to run it with Hurts. Get him a decent offensive, maybe a top tier receiver in the draft, and give him the keys to the offensive. FLY EAGLES FLY!
Can't wait until Next season. the world finally saw what few of us have been seeing in Jalen Hurts.
Peeps don't understand that playing in a collegiate National Championship genuinely challenges your effectiveness. The current draft newbies like Zach Wilson and Trey Lance don't have that gold mine of experience to rely on like Trevor Lawrence and Jalen Hurts both have. With Wentz now gone, the sky's the limit for Hurts in his sophomore NFL season.
I hope hurts Becomes a starter for us next year in 2021

I hope Doug gets a OC and a new QB coach, or else it's not gonna be enough.

@@brendangilmartin4002 because wentz is horrible.
Hurts looks like a different qb here..
You can see one of the biggest differences between what Hurts does and what Wentz was not doing last year. If the pocket starts to break down, Hurts is able to move around and find some free space while continuing to look downfield. His pocket presence is so much better than Wentz's.
Look how the Linebackers drive down to the line of scrimmage when Hurts does read options. Wentz never caused that reaction. That's why our offense looked alive those last 4 games. He brings a different dynamic.
Please draft Pitts.
Or De’Vonta
Or Ja’marr, but with Pitts this offense would be scary.
Totally agree, Hurts speed opened up the running game for Sanders
Bateman
Damn, sorry broski
Bama fan right here. Listen, JH is a way better QB than some people give him credit for. When graduated from Alabama and went to OK, his passing had improved big time, but he put in the work. He has learned how to be a successful QB. Good job Jalen Hurts. Bama is proud of you. Thanks for CHIP. Roll Tide. Good luck to the Eagles going forward.
No preseason, started in the middle of the season with no weapons, banged up o-line. And he ended up performing well, far from perfect but he showed a lot of promise. The dude is smart, throws a nice ball, quick decision making, great pocket presence and leader attitude. Plus the team loved him he earned the offense in that Saints game. May be he doesn't have the high ceiling as Wentz but has a better floor, consistency and great attitude. He represent us.
Jalen Hurts is the younger version of Russell Wilson. i could see Jalen Hurts having a bright future with this team, i just hope he doesn't get injured 24/7 like Carson Wentz.

Hurts has really good field awareness. very impressive in a rookie
He has so much potential, and I hope he has a very successful career. Was very fun to watch in 2020.
He's a special player
Jalen hurts just so fun to watch , he inspires people around him, thats what you need in a teammate
He’s a lil different. As a sooner fan he tested our patience but did things that Murray and mayfield couldn’t do especially on short yardage. He’s deceptively quick and I think the nfl is better for his arm than the college presnap read. I think him scrambling freeing up receivers to move behind safeties is a weapon most teams don’t have. He kinda reminds me of Steve McNair. He’s a descent passer but really accurate throwing off the run and instinct throws vs trying to do touch passes on reads in the pocket. Also he is an incredible kid. Very humble and I really hope he finds a home in philly… would be nice to see a lil Randall Cunningham or a version of him in philly again.
That boy got a canon.

If you looked at the numbers you’d think he wasn’t good. If you watched the games you’d know that you wasn’t the case

Well imagine it, cause I think were gonna get that next year
@@samrosendahl392 with these draft picks we can get something good out of it
Y’all ready?😌
They need Brandon Brooks back at Oline. Also, get him some weapons, and he should be scary. His ability to escae the pocket is nice. But what's more impressive is his accuracy and the mobility turn throws to his left and right. Reminds me of Aaron Rodgers. Hope he jumps to improve himself.
I'm rooting for J. Hurts. He's an athlete man with a great foundation. He can't lose.
