He is not in a video game anymore, bro. He really transfers to another world when he is in the game. So everything you see is real people, not NPCs. The MC really turns into an undead; he doesn’t need to eat meals or sleep. He is kind of evil and feels nothing when he kills people. His mentality has truly turned him into an undead. This is my favorite isekai so far because I am really bored with the OP, kind-hearted MCs in general.

it's amazing how you rate the end so low.. i mean from what i know ppl way prefer overlord ED more than OP in term of music and especially the art w exception of example OP 3.. and that images are taken and made by the LN artist of overlord himself and is made on purpose that way to vibe with it's dark theme.. it's not a story of a game per se... it's a very dark story tbh... it doesn't seem like u somewhat enjoy it which is a shame tho and tbh it's rare seeing ppl put it that low which is refreshing in itself but well it is what it is
i love the endings too, the art is an absolute masterpiece, but, yeah, not for everyone

The story is that he was playing a game, it was a VR kind of game in the future, he is the only player of his guild that is logged on in the game for when the servers are supposed to be shut down. He gets isekai'd into a new world with real people in it, where magic mechanics from the game exist as actual magic, but he gets teleported to this world with the entire guild base that his guild had, along with all of the NPC's that existed inside of the 'tomb'. All of the NPC's that he and the other players created have taken on lives of their own with their personalities programmed into what the players wrote for their characters personalities and backstories. The NPCs view him and the other players as "Supreme Beings" that created all of them. I could continue on, but I'll let you experience the anime, I suggest you give it a shot, currently it is the only anime to get me to buy the light novels, because I needed to find out what happened after the anime had left off in season 3.

You first mistake is thinking this is in a game. Your second mistake is not knowing the Protagonist is an EVIL villain who committed horrific atrocities.
"Is he the hero?" Watch and and you decide who is who. And if you'd like it, you can always read the novels for more details. But to answer the question, Momonga is not "Evil". That's all I'm gonna say since everything is a potential spoiler.
You both should definitely watch this show, its so good.
Season one was weak. It really took off in season 2 .
@@remliqa season 1 was a slow start because it focused on 3 arc from the first 3 light novels, which serves as an introduction to the characters and world building.

Ok that description is terrible, this is better: the game is shutting down as soon as it’s done it’s supposed to log him out but instead when he opens his eyes he doesn’t see any stats like in game, there are no buttons to press he has become his avatar and he is not alone, he and his entire guild of NPC’s have been somehow transported to a completely new world. Follow the Overlord thru his and his guilds NPC’s adventures.
