  • FigJam is a beautifully intuitive online whiteboard where you can plan, think, and brainstorm pretty much anything. Here's how we use it.

I´m using it for workflows for whatsapp, crm, callcenter, can move things around, love that is always aligns to grid and even though there are so many elements it looks clean and organized.

I'm a big fan of simplicity but aren't the Gantt charts a pain to keep updated as time goes by? And you have to rebuild a new calendar each month, or is there a template for that?

They are! We still use a project management software also. This template is used during our team discussions as a way to visualize and help team alignment for each project. We then use a project management software to get into specifics.

I'm sorry but this is not the right tool for project management.. If it works for you, fine, but it's not something i would teach.
What if some task falls behind whitch will influence all other tasks? Are you going to adjust it all manually? You would even have to this on all different boards.
Are people getting notified when it's their turn, because the task they relied on is finished?
I mean you created a notion template, you should know really well that that is a way more fitting tool than figjam, witch was created for brainstorming.
I wish you a nice day, keep going, I appreciate your (other) content a lot tho!

As part of the team, I thought I'd explain a little more on what we used this for; a planning brainstorm. That was all - it was essentially step one in a super complex process. We do not use Figjam to actually track project progress at all, but rather a super flexible "wireframe" of ideas and to give us an overview. We then use Coda to plan out actual deliverables, manage timelines and assign actual tasks to those in our team :) I personally found it super refreshing to be able to watch how we as a team could quickly throw some things around on a blank canvas and then turn that 'wireframe' into projects and tasks later on in a tool like Coda. It's our boardroom essentially, where we come together and throw sticky notes up on a board so that we can plan out things in more detail, later on :)

I understand you're trying to promothis this, but "putting a start date and end date in a project managment tool is REALLY COMPLICATED", really?

I understand him though, it's not actually complicated but it's many clicks + when you're collaborating with many people who don't want to have to learn and get used to a new service, this simplicity actually makes sense.
