This is the exact GM radio that my mother-in-law owns. Your method worked great for the removal portion. I used a plastic spatula that was recommended in another video that I watched before yours. I was not able to get it to accept another CD. Thank you for making this video!
You should be proud Jessica. After 2 attempts with your suggested flapjack tool and the darn CD just ejected itself. Wow! I had tried 5 other suggested ways to get that darn CD outta there. You rock. Thank you for taking the time to post the video. Much appreciated. Sign me happy grampy in Arizona.
Ya'll should try it w/o the tape first. Simply jiggling the CD w/ the spatula WHILE PRESSING THE EJECT BUTTON will sometimes make the CD pop out, instead of having to pull it out. Also, there's a little pin in some stereo models that you can see if you look in the slot & if you push that pin up while pressing the eject button, it might pop out. The benefit of doing it w/o tape is that you won't get adhesive on your CD & inside your CD player.
Thanks for the video! I was able to get 2 stuck cds out of my 6 disc changer by using a spatula with gorilla tape wrapped around it. I don't know if my cd playet still works but I got rid of that annoying click,click,click noise everytime I started my truck.

I had a stuck CD in my 2014 Impala. Here's how I fixed it. There are two fuse boxes. One under the hood that we will not access and one in back of the pop-out drawer/compartment on the lower left side of the steering wheel that we will access. Remove the key from the ignition. Remove the pop-out drawer by pushing in on the tabs on both sides of the drawer to see the fuse box. Look at the fuse diagram in the owners manual and on the drawer back. Remove the radio fuse. Mine was #4. Put the key in accessory and notice the radio has no power. Remove the key. Put the fuse back in the fuse box. Put the key in accessory and notice the radio has power. Now try the CD eject button and it should eject the CD if the problem is like what I had.
I'm going to try this on my wife's car. I'm sure your husband appreciated that, but the spatula looked like it had hardly been used. Get my drift? LOL. Thanks for posting.
