4K 🇹🇭 SONGKRAN 2023 Water Festival Bangla Road Patong Beach - Phuket Thailand CRAZIEST WATER FIGHT

We had the most insane time celebrating Songkran festival in Phuket, Thailand! We knew we couldn't miss the world's largest water fight that takes place at the infamous Bangla Road in Patong. For those who don't know, Songkran is all about celebrating the Thai New Year and cleansing away sins from the previous year with water. It's a beautiful spiritual tradition, but let's be honest, the water festival is what we were most excited about!
We were determined to experience Songkran in all its glory, and Phuket did not disappoint! It turned out to be one of the craziest experiences of our lives.
In case you're wondering, Songkran falls in mid-April every year, and in 2023, it will be celebrated from 13th to 15th April. It's a national holiday in Thailand, with the main day being on the 13th of April, but the festivities continue until the 15th.
In fact, the Thai cabinet even extended the festival to five days from 12th to 16th April in 2018, so people could travel home and enjoy the celebrations with their loved ones. It just goes to show how important this festival is to the Thai people.
Overall, our Songkran experience in Phuket was truly unforgettable, and we can't wait to go back next year!
