This must be in our history books, we Filipinos must be proud of the people who made, shaped, and loved this country!

My great great grandmother was a guerilla in the 1900s too Her name is Francisca Albarico. We were just not so sure about her records of being a warrior but with her guerilla I.D. left she was a lieutenant in Ormoc, Leyte.

Considering many Filipino clans were matrilineal in society design, it shouldn’t surprise us that our women fought with us to fight. The spirit to fight to the bitter end doesn’t just exist in us Filipino men. Great video Pare!!! Let’s raise our women to the highest!!🙏🏾✊🏾

i think spain has successfully suppressed the filipina warrior's heart with the 'maria clara' crap (religious, obedient, submissive).

Ur absolutely right and the true filipina woman are tough and fearless and doesn't know any gender female weakness but strength and fights for the right only Western people who teach filipino woman to become weak and submissive like their woman that is easy to get punch like the majority of them doing it

I'm sure everyone will agree, Filipinas warrior heart still burns up to this day. My family is always Matron led but we love and protect our dear male members . My grandma is now 98yo but still no one in the family can override her decisions but she's diplomatic, strong and unbiased. She's still the person we all go until today if there's any dramas and I love how she gives her verdicts. 🥰😂

As an American I hate how little is known of the Philippines resistance against the Japanese. In the west the French resistance gets talked about a lot but they weren't anywhere near as successful as the Filipino resistance was
Regardless, I'm happy our two countries have a friendly relationship and hope it will remain that way for as long as our two nations stand

You can’t see in history books that a former beauty queen take up arms after she won the crown to fight the invaders.
Only in the Philippines or at least I know.

Yassss! Great video, maraming salamat! We come from a long line of revolutionary women! I cannot help but think of Recca, Josephine, Kamil, Ka Katrin and the many modern guerilla fighters who continue to defend the Filipino people from all kinds of exploitation that persists until today. Clenched fist salute to the revolutionary women serving the people - including those who may not be guerrilla fighters but contribute greatly to defending human rights and the struggle for national liberation! ✊🏾💜✊🏾
