I liked how they refused to climb onto the revolving stage at the end of the show with the other acts. They were afraid that Brian might have fallen off. Occupational Health & Safety, y'know?
The Stones recorded this version in the studio and then faked it on the TV show. I heard a great clear version of this song but the person won't share. This sounds better than the bootlegs I've heard.
@@Deltics1 I'd love to have that song on an outtake album in great sound. Hopefully some day Stones and Abkco will get together on projects. I hope it's before I die. I hope a lot of this material doesn't get lost or destroyed over time.
Don't forget they did Connection as well! An attempt at recreating here: czcams.com/video/4RNmKHOC6Kk/video.html A poignant opportunity to release this was on the "ON AIR" CD release of 2017. It would have been a real treat for fans to hear these as well as Ruby Tuesday and Lets Spend The Night Together from that London Palladium TV show. Sadly, the audio remains hoarded. Another missed opportunity.
@@happyveteran they refused to go on the carousel. They thought it was daft, just like you. I remember the show but not too well as I was only 10 or 11. It's my friend that likes the stones, I was more for the beatles at the time. And, oh dear, they DID , go on the carousel. And while the beatles wanted to hold your hand, the stones wanted to spend the night together. Shock. Ha ha. Bye.
@@thesincityboys6978 They recorded this different arrangement at Olympic Studios and then mimed to it at the Palladium. Mick is singing live over the track.
I remember this! They sang 'Connection', 'Ruby Tuesday', - this version of 'It's All Over Now' - and 'Let's Spend The Night Together'.

This sounds pretty good. I would love to see the footage.
Wouldn't we all!
So right.

Yes, they recorded the backing tracks at Olympic on January 19th. Mick is singing live though.

Mick was singing live. I was there.
DAMN, BRIAN!!! @:40...
Haha!
ABCkO needs to release all the old stuff with Brian Jones look at all the money there losing
ABCKO would be better served by keeping this one in their vaults. If the Valentino's were around to hear this they'd kick the Stones asses.
Bobby Womack didn't like the idea of them recording in the first place, until he got the first check. I don't think they'd mind
Don't forget they did Connection as well!

The whole set is out on an EP via 45RPM label.
Is the original tape not in existence? I know that talking pictures tv are showing old episodes of the show at the moment.
I was hoping talking pictures would have shown it. I've looked all over and nope. Getting on that revolving stage and waving would've been so cheesy.

Has the video been lost since the 60s?
Not lost. Wiped by ITV
@@BigSky1 Wasn't it on I.T.V.?
@@Vinyl_Dave Yes. You are correct. My mistake. Wiped by ITV and not the Beeb.
Diabolical ....
Pretty sure this is not The Rolling Stones
It is.
@@BigSky1 such a cool, different version! Cheers

Don't care for this version.
Doesn't sound like the Rolling Stones to my ears. More like a group of the same era trying to sound like the Stones.
Nevertheless, it is!
Lane Bayliss It is The Stones.
