Temples made by hands are no longer needed according to the bible, when Jesus died and shed his blood on the cross, the veil in the temple was split in half, from that day on, all believers of the biblical Jesus dwell in him, and he dwells within our own human temples. A new covenant was born, and we no longer need temples made by men.

I spend quite a bit of time every week on doing genealogy, which means I know a lot about my ancestors, how they lived, the children they had, the lives they led. I’ve learned about some of their sadnesses and sorrows, and many times that was the result of loved ones that died, sometimes very prematurely. Does God, our Father, notice and remember a woman named Ann Wills who lost 8 young children? A man named George Dalby who lost wives and children prematurely? He sees every life, and so He doesn’t forget. We forget, but the temple offers the opportunity for Ann and George to be reunited with their families. Now imagine getting to play a part in that by taking Ann’s name or taking George’s name to the temple and doing their work. They can accept or not. It’s their decision, but that gives me joy.
I love the temple! What a blessing it is in my life, and has been in my ancestors’ lives. Learn more about it and I pray you’ll find the happiness that I’ve found in the temple.
