Little did he know that this midas bomb is where REAL runs only start. Empty board, 1 flower, 24 suns. 5^19 is quite a large number and almost guaranteed to get.
Why would you want 24 suns? There's only 20 spaces on the board?
@@lpris the real strat is to stack tiles. It leads to infinite scalability which means you can go on forever. All you have to do is gigawatz the flapdisk until the tiles spin twice over each other giving you 4 extra tiles since only the corners stack. It’s next level.
@@Magrijack but with that strat, you still only have 24 tiles, meaning you run the risk of rolling all suns.

@@lpris Have you guys played this game? There are 5 columns, each has 5 symbols on them but only 4 show. In other words, as long as you have less than 25 items, you will have a few blanks. While you only have 1 flower, 19 suns, there's a high chance you don't get the full 19 suns on the board, if you have 1 and 24, there's an 80% chance to have the flower and all the suns.
It doesn't matter of course because even 5^17 is high enough that you can play until the proverbial end of time, but you folks talk crap without knowing anything so I guess it's fair game to embarrass you.

a few absolute bombshells he always seems to make, hex of tedium isn’t your friend, it stops you from end game scaling and you can’t get rid of them, picking a sapphire for 2 gold per turn that will eventually clog up the board and then not taking a big urn that is 2 gold per turn, then turns into 8 gold per turn, and then removes itself
Its kind of brilliant he takes the hex of tedium, then is vexed by the lack of good items. The hex did its job!
Isn't the point of building a synergy to take everything that can easily be destroyed while hard focusing the parts of the build? Also, isn't flower build based on a few flowers being multiplied so the collection of light bulbs/suns is prioritized over pulling a flower.

A light bulb buffs multiple flowers. Makes sense to be either as your not exactly getting 8 suns around a flower every spin :p
@@cosmicalian but a sun is adjacent to everything with the item, and that's basically the only way to make it work, so really you only need one flower if you are going for a perfect build
You definitely want to prioritize multipliers over things they multiply.

If a cat is in the corner it's guaranteed to be the highest piece because it will be adjecent to all witches and beast masters, but it will also be adjecent to a wildcard which means the wildcard will pay out as high as possible

As somebody who lives in Texas, I wanted to give some insight onto what happened during the storm and what is happening with the electric companies, because it's ACTUALLY INSANE.
Texas is the only state with its own private electric grid. We aren't connected to anybody else. From what I understand, Texas has been told to upgrade their power grid to protect against a winter storm like this for 30 years now and has done nothing. Not only that, but the people themselves were horribly unprepared for what was going to happen because we weren't told anything. We weren't told that the roads would be blocked. We weren't told anything other than, "You might experience rolling blackouts periodically lasting anywhere from 15-60 minutes." I was without power for 40 hours. My 91 year old grandma was without power for 40 hours. ERCOT- some council that's supposed to be in charge of managing the entire state's power supply and demand- did a terrible job at keeping people safe and preventing deaths.
My house was 50-53 degrees inside for over 24 hours with a fire going in the fireplace. My cat actually developed a cold from being stuck in the cold for so long. Not even joking. My pipes, along with the pipes of many others, completely burst. We won't have water in our kitchen for over 2 months, but that was lucky compared to other people. Some essential workers like hospital staff were not home when their pipes burst like I was, so they now are dealing with an inhospitable home after their roof collapsed from water damage. This is in Houston, Texas where we can't have basements because of the groundwater.
On the topic of the power companies: The people who are getting royally screwed have what's called a variable rate plan. Those plans basically charge you for the power you used at the price of the power. That's what makes it variable. Most people have fixed rate plans where they always pay the same amount monthly regardless. It's bad in situations where energy costs are lower or you don't use as much energy as the general population... but uh... it seriously saved some people being on a fixed rate plan.
The craziest part about this whole thing is that people are taking this as an opportunity to bash on green energy by blaming our wind generated power sources as the reason for the failure. They aren't even why we didn't have power!!! I don't recall the exact specifics, but the power deficit we were experiencing was reportedly split between 1/3rd Wind generated power failing and 2/3rds COAL PLANTS FAILING.
So basically this whole tragic event where people literally, actually, SERIOUSLY died is being used to create propaganda for why green energy is bad. That is the lesson that people are taking away from this event. It's insane.

Toddler is a huge trap, it's much worse than monkey an dwarves because it doesn't scale with the value of the candy. Dwarves and monkeys both give an X value depending on the value of what they eat. Toddlers are always a flat +6.
Here's my thesis:
Yes piñatas pay out 6 instances compared to 3 from a full coconut, but since monkeys give 5x the value, they give 10 per eat for a total of 30, compared to a toddlers 6x6=36 per piñata. Those numbers aren't completely genuine, there are other factors that give toddlers a bit more of an edge, but this is just comparing in a vacuum, in the way that benefits toddlers the most. Half coconuts are much better than individual candy. If you can increase the value of the coconuts at all, then monkeys start balling out of control. Buffing capsule, chef, ms fruit, fruit basket. There are tons of ways to increase the payout from monkeys. Toddlers have little item support or synergies with other symbols.
And don't even get me started about dwarves. There are TWO items, one that increases alcohol value, and one that double dwarf payouts and dwarves pay out 10x! They can scale massively better than toddlers, and can win runs on their own if you get those items. Toddlers suck, dwarves rule. Thank you for coming to my ted talk.
