As much as I love the Bay City Rollers and still play their music often to this day, The Rollers were far superior musically. The band had matured and grown and Duncan was a fantastic singer. It is such a shame that they could never get past the stigma and just be judged on their musical output. Elevator and Ricochet fit right in with most of the music of that era.
Truth is they tried to re-invent themselves, which rarely works and it didn't here. They stepped away from the Tartan, took off Bay City and just called themselves the Rollers. It not only wasn't what the fans expected but some may not have realized they were the same band. The look was gone, the hairstyles changed rather abruptly. I get it I admire bands that try and reinvent themselves but the truth is it's a gamble that usually works against you.
I think I remember reading, the video was pulled for a time claiming it was "too inappropriate." I haven't looked for it recently but I guess someone did this so the music was heard but the original scenes were changed so as not to offend some people!! I've seen the original and I thought it was great!!
This is extremely uncomfortable to watch . The Rollers could have anyone they wanted. All of them had charisma and incredibly handsome. Just a video but we know afterwards what likely went on. The lads could have done better than using what appears to be" soiled Doves " as the western 1800 goldminers called prostitutes back then . If only the guys had asked their many fans to help make this music video . Perhaps a lottery or something? The thing is that we love the guys and that we only want the best for them. This video is hard to watch and hurts my heart .yes , I know that they're grown men with needs but they could have done better than these women.
Im interviewing singer Duncan Faure at 7pm pst this Sunday on KSKQ radio on the Church of Rock radio show based in Ashland Oregon. Listen from anywhere at www.kskq.org
That's the very talented Duncan Faure formerly of South African rock band Rabbit on vocals. I interviewed him and he signed my "Who's That Girl?" (Madonna movie) soundtrack he had a solo song on. The Rollers (late period Bay City Rollers) were excellent.

I remember watching this video a long time ago, this is a terrible copy - this looks like pirated version. This really is a great song and album.
I love it
Well the song is ok. Not to sure about the video. I think they could have done alittle bit better. They are too good looking and talented for this.

Japanese:この当時、よくあったパターンの演出を狙っているのがよくわかるのですが、、、^^;
What's up with the zoom? This is terrible. Terrible video, terrible singer.
Nope.
