Great aviary Chris and Sam,the birds are lovely,We have a pair of budgies in a huge cage in the conservatory which we take outside in the summer ,The budgies will be 7 years old this year. John Pam, Victoria.

Hi C&S, It's funny I was thinking the other day when you were tidying the garden and you cut the trees down to expose the aviary and I wondered if there were any birds in. Reminds me of Goldfinches. ATB Glen

But would a heated small shelter like. 1mx1mx1m with nest boxes and nesting materials be sufficient enough because I might not be able to get power outside. Also if they can’t. Is there any other birds that can live outside in Ireland all year long. Thanks a million
I use to keep canary’s with no heater all year round , I use to lock them in my shed in winter they use to sleep in the nest boxes . Let them out in spring , but they use to go back in shed to sleep .. Right we off camping just for 1 night in big Bertha , look out for the vid .. I’ll give you a shout out , cheers Chris & Sam

Looks brilliant all you need goldfinch bullfinch chaffinch greenfinch & canaries they were my favourite it good to seeing you getting back to birds.

Maybe u can put a little tree in the middle of the aviary so they can sit and chew and climb on it! :)

Can zebra finches live outside all year long in Ireland ?
No ..they should have heating from Autumn.. I’ve not let mine out yet , we in may .. weather been terrible.. cheers

I keep mine at 60 Fahrenheit...that’s in an insulated shed with the heater on low ..cheers hope this helps ..
