- Lip Fillers are a top area to inject. The lip can age with vertical lip lines and loss of size. Lip plumping and lip fillers are in. Lip plumpers can be applied topically like skin care or injections can be done like juvederm and restylane. many want to know how to get big lips. Some people genetically have small lips and want bigger plumper lips. Lips are indeed attractive and balance a face. Botox can also be used for a lip flip.

ALL NATURAL LIP FILLERS: czcams.com/video/YYgR26dwClw/video.html
As a Woman with Natural big lips, it amazing to see how 90% of women want lip injections..Even when I was a young Model in NYC,I was made fun of for them >growing up & in school< My 24 yr.old Son has the same lips maybe a little bigger! My how times have changed!
BRILLIANT video as always!
HAPPY SUNDAY @Dr.Jani 💫🌞🌴
Thank You. I hear similar stories from my model patients. Thanks for sharing and have a super day
Loved it, I learned a lot.
I remember beauty magazines in the 90’s (before the Kardashians) models like Niki Taylor had thin lips and I thought it was the most beautiful thing ever
pixie looking
Wonderful...
Because a certain ppl push it that thin lips were the standard beauty ....plump lips will always look more attractive on a small or bigger mouth
This was amazing !
i have pretty perfect lips, but lost a little collagen since i hit early 30's.. i chose to get only half a ML, just to bring my lips back to normal. i'm glad i did it 🌹
Still grateful to hear these warnings!!
Thanks for sharing!! Have an amazing day
I really appreciate you posting.
To “normal” at 30? Lol OMG! Everyone talking as 30 is old, I am 34 and my lips are pretty Naturally and they are NORMAL without fillers
Dr Rajani … you’re worth listening
I appreciate your confidence in me.
I always love when you touch on the reality and negatives. We are shocked at what we see with new clients. Infections, gigantic lips and when they go down, a lot of sagging.
Yes! They don’t always use what you think they are using! I have said this for years and I get yelled at but it is the absolute truth!!
Thank you Dr R 🍑🙌🏻🧡Lisa
Thank You. HOPEFULLY nobody is yelling at you ::)) Make it a great one.

This was So Informative, I had no idea about any of this! Thank You Dr Raj, I love learning from you!!
Glad it was helpful! Have a super day
I would love to see you continue.
I had thinner lips prior to filler. My injecter and I over the course of a year built my lips up to what I wanted. I now go yearly just to keep them how I want them. The overly done duck lips are not my thing we wanted a natural look.
I agree with you 100%, I only go now once a year too but having a good cosmetic injector makes all the difference.

THANK YOU 😊
Most welcome
You're amazing, and I'm SO glad you mentioned this. I told my dentist I thought my "upper lip" was getting longer as I got older, and he laughed at me (dismissive) and told me that doesn't happen. But I felt my upper lip curling in. Your videos are so helpful. I saw a well-respected plastic surgeon that confirmed my feelings and agreed lip filler was wrong for my face based on the reasons you mentioned! In fact, I'm getting a lip lift now, which is the correct surgery for me; not the filler. Thank you for your videos! You help validate patients' concerns.
Excellent. Congratulations on doing your research and listening to real advice. It painful how much bad advice is out there.

I had it done 3-4x in last 4yrs, paid $750 per visit and was never unhappy with my lips. I didn't get my lips done until I was 39 yrs old. I have always had big lips. However, as I began to age my upper lip became non existent (very small) while my bottom lip looked huge. Whereas, now my top lip is even, I have a decent cupid bow and my lips look hydrated. It becomes addicting like anything else but you really have to know when to stop and have a good cosmetic injector that will tell you NOOO.
Thank You for sharing Sunless
I had my lips filled 2 months ago and I love it!
Yes, yes, absolutely please keep.
So detailed and beatifully made.
I was the same way my bottom lip was always full but as I got older my top lip diminished. I honestly believe that a good doctor/injector will slowly enhance your natural lips. I didn't have a cupids bow until the last time I got mine done and its not a dramatic one either, but my lips look more defined and hydrated and don't have that chapped deflated appearance to them anymore. I put vaseline on my lips every night and they seem to stay hydrated. Good luck 💋
Sorry forgot to ask could you do a video to explain about Refresh ,and how long would it last last ,it's a New injection in Ireland that I know nothing about ,thanks again love yr videos
Excellent information. I'm debating lip filler. I still have fairly full lips for 65 and started the lip flip which I love. I was toying with the idea of a tiny bit of lip filler, upper lip only, for lines.
Glad it was helpful!
It is incredible...
Excellent video Dr Rajani. Please address Lip Blushing semi permanent lip tattoos.
Some patients like them but as they fade it looks odd at least in my eyes.
@@rajanimdskincare Thank you so much Dr. Rajani for your response!
I think I’ll just be happy with the lips 👄 God gave me. 😳
How to say, I love you.
just had half a vile last week. Feel much better now.
There is something about my lips. They are not particularly big (neither thin) but the upper and lower lips are exactly the same size. And I'm often told that. Although thicker lips would appeal to me, I'd be afraid of losing the current symmetrical shape. I would say yes to redness though or plumbers.
This is really helpful.
I’ve gotten juverderm in my lips several times. I wait at least one year between injections, because I feel like the lips need that much time to recover, the juvaderm has dissolved a lot but not completely. I get compliments on my lips. I always massage them after injections very gently and ice them a lot. I haven’t had any migration but I believe it’s because I wait 12 months between.
Appreciate you sharing
Amazing. Really helpful and good.
I love the RHA fillers my plastic surgeon uses. My lips look natural and full like they did when I was younger. So far RHA are my favorite and I’ve had Juvederm and Restylane.
Thank You for sharing. I use them outside of USA. I do like them but maybe not as much as you. We all have our favourites and I thank you for sharing. If it is working...stick with it.
I love your teeth.
I’m waiting for thin lips to be in fashion ha. Used to have a full bottom lip. But I still have awesome natural teeth, thank you grand pa!
I love your smile.
I just got a bit of Restalyn Refine in my upper lip only. I had a bit of a syringe put in a month ago with my provider- she was conservative, which I like, and wanted me to come back in a month to see how it looked and assess if I needed any more- she injected just part of that half, not all of it, to even out a few areas- she really knows how to finesse specific areas of the face and not overdo it. I have asymmetry for sure in my smile/lips, and what I dislike most about my face, right now, is the distance between my nose and upper lip. It’s a tiny bit helpful having the filler but honestly, not life changing or that detectable.. I think it provides structure to an aging face, and that’s the biggest benefit, overall, I notice.
I found a new provider this year and I’m really happy with her. Someone who listens and is also honest and very skilled.
Hard to find
wonderful. Appreciate your sharing with the group
Oh wow I had no idea that it's possible to shorten in between nose and lip with fillers or botox. Who is your provider by the way.
I've always had thin lips, but it didn't really bother me until I hit my 50's and they started getting even thinner. So my intention in getting lip filler was to restore what I had lost and maybe add a bit more. I was thrilled with the results and have continued to maintain them. The other thing that had bothered me was that I had no cupids bow, none whatsoever. My injector was able to give my lips a little suggestion of one, which I love. I went to a plastic surgery practice, but my injector turned out to be an RN. However, it's obvious that she has been trained very well. Btw, I think most of the women getting lip fillers look fine in their before pictures, just like most women who get breast augmentation. What is wrong with these people that they can't be satisfied when they already look perfect to my eye!?
@@Medicorum I’m in Michigan and go to Center for Plastic Surgery and see a PA specialist there- I also look at the injectors face because that gives you. A good indication of their esthetic, sometimes. She looks natural but lifted and refreshed- nothing blown out or over exaggerated.
I naturally have small lips.. I get lip filler in increments. Mind you I’m a “Homegamer” and I never do my own filler. I don’t support it or suggest it either. Obviously everyone will do them. As you mentioned VO’s are very serious. So getting filler done.. either at med spa or home always have Hyaluronidase on hand. I get my filler at Fresh Faces Rx Portland and they will show me the package; expiration date, & open right in front of me. Then explain if a VO should occur they have Hyaluronidase ready. Best advice: find a doc/med spa you trust, do your research, knowledge is everything. Great video Doc 💐🫶🏼💐
Brighten your smile with love.
Thank you for the information. I'm going to try Volbella for minor lip lines soon. I hope it all goes well. Lol
Choose your filler wisely
Dr Rajani, I bought your lip plumber and it has kept my lips plumper. I had lip fillers injected over 6+ months and haven’t had to have lip re-injected, thus far. It works great for maintenance.! I just bought your neck cream. I’m noticing the beginning of sagging so I’m getting ahead of it. Can’t wait to try it! 🤗

Guys say it is not good to kiss those filled lips. I think it is ugly
Where did you hear that?
I have not heard that one yet but appreciate you sharing
They feel no different to normal lips lol! The only time they can feel a bit hard in spots is in the first week of getting them, when you have certain places that are tender and foe some reason feel like hard lumps, which people commonly mistake for the filler itself.
My favorite CZcams doc. I want to purchase your lip peptide serum that you stated you had in your clinic. Do you sell it online too? I’m in Dallas. How do I go about getting the lip plumper you have in your clinic? Never mind, I jumped the gun. Just saw where you already linked it. Ordered it. Yay~ thanks a lot doc.

What lip filler do you recommend?
2 years ago I had my lips done at a spa in the Atlanta Georgia area completed by an RN. I paid $550 for a vial of juvederm Vollure and 40 units of tox in one area. It was for first time clients only. They did ask me to schedule my next visit for tox.
It was poor planning because I was forced to wear a mask ( covid) everywhere so it wasn’t like anyone seen my lips. 😂
Need thoughts on Juvederm Ultra 3 for lips??I see its not allowed in US but it is in Europe..
Very much requested procedure in our clinic for Volbella and restyllane.
I work with the patient's request often observing all angles of the patient and having them look at themselves close and far distances with mirrors.
For very thin lips I have used both restyllane and sometimes some other patients work well with Volbella.
I agree with having patients come in 2 weeks later for more juvedermfor a 2nd vial and patients are pretty agreeable with that once I explain the risks: hematoma, bruising, etc...
Excellent and thanks for sharing
Hi Dr. What do you think of Refresh think you can put it anywhere in the face and hands ,can you use it under yr eyes ,what do you think ,Thanks in advance
You have beautiful eyes.
I had filler done earlier this year. I do not have a very wide mouth and I never had big pouty lips. What I did have was small pouty lips but as I got older I lost that so I went to a dermatologist and had them injected with hyaluronic filler. I am 65 years old but don't look anything like a 65 year old person so when I go back for more filler I will looked more fantastic! The dr. didn't overfill. He began with some and now that I did not have any kind of a reaction to the filler, I can have more. My lips will look nicely plump and I'm excited about wearing lipstick. Yay!
Huge congrats. And keep us updated on your Secrets to youth.
@@rajanimdskincare Thank you Dr. Rajani! My secret to youth starts with having a youthful energy. Young at heart does everything for a person. I don't drink or use recreational drugs. I was an athlete in my youth and you must continue with physical activity. Right now I go to the gym and push weight so my muscles don't atrophy. I hardly ever eat fast food. I buy fresh food and cook good food at home. Olive oil is my oil of choice for cooking. I also take supplements such as MK7 (thank you for that info Dr.), cod liver oil, collagen, flaxseed, d3, biotin, B12, drink gelatin and take hubner original colloidal silica gel. A positive attitude and be happy. That's it without going on and on and on. I hope this helps everyone. lol

I’ve started to pull back from lip filler. I don’t feel it’s worth it when it doesn’t last long on me. I’m very disappointed Plasma lip is not available in my area. I am considering a lip lift at this point.
Learning a lot from this video.
Look into threads
My friend who does a lot of fillers got cancer by her mouth. She has gotten some time of infection at one point too. Necrosis etc.
In areas with cellular injury, the body will try to increase cellular replication to repair sites of injury. Cancer is abnormal cell replication.
@@TheShumoby so are you saying that the cancer has nothing to do with fillers. If so, I aggree
I made a comment in this thread about that, stuff like UV exposure "catching" UV, sites of healing from needle application, viruses causing pathogenic cancer etc and overall inflammation.
@@KelLAkiwi not at all, any procedure induces healing and cancer is an unchecked healing response
I have a question, I had Restylane kysse, and I am having very bad itching in the face, although I only did lips and marionette lines. If I dissolve it, how long after dissolution does itching resolves. I have itching in my eyelids too. I am very nervous 😟 what is your experience with allergies? Can you make a video on it.

Anyone from Long Island NY that can recommend someone for lipfiller? I do not trust the place a went to. I would go once a year but eventually I noticed I had migration on my upper lip and they just wanted to fill me again instead of waiting or getting it dissolved.
Great work as ever.

Angie gets filler. I know people who know her. Her pick-up line used to be "guess what's real?"
She's had a lot of surgery on nose and jaw too, to balance the lips.
Look at her teen pics. She was already a 10. Now she's a different, stronger looking 10. She wanted action roles.

I like comment your photo.
You have expert knowledge of the lips, so know what works and what doesn't. After I had my lips done at a training academy, they soon lost their volume. I found out by accident that they went bigger again after using excessive amounts of Adapalene: I was using it to repair them. I would use a thick layer, then another one 20 minutes later for overnight. They've gone more red and running my tongue over them has shredded the dead skin away, so works like a chemical peel if done excessively. I noticed Hydromol Ointment (like Vaseline) gives a glossy appearance, which is useful for when they're dry from retinoids. It's also a look that men can get away with doing.
Appreciate your sharing this
Talking about delayed reactions… I had chin, temples and some jaw areas 6 -8 months before getting mastitis ( yes I know not supposed to when bf) but it was just couple times a day for a toddler. Anyway got mastitis and those fillers blew up, red, inflamed. I had to get on a short course of steroids. Those fillers were 2 different form of juvederm I believe. I don’t have any autoimmune issues that I know of, but did have Covid a few months after. I wonder if there is any connection? Or if now my body will always attack filler? Any thoughts?
I had hylauronic filler (Volbella) injected into my bottom lip back in March, and RHA4 Hyluronic filler in my nasal folds in April. Fast forward to July 1st when my bottom lip became swollen. Meds were started but I cannot say they helped and we had to dissolve the lip. But that started a cascading effect and before you knew it the other filler in my nasal folds also blew up. My doctor said it was a late on-set inflammatory effect. He also said that some people who have had the COVID vaccine after getting the fillers this could happen. In my case I had my COVID vaccine in November 2021, fillers starting in March and then swelling in July. All he could tell me was that maybe I had a case of COVID without symptoms. I was really enjoying how the fillers looked and I still am going for injections to dissolve because I still have a few bumps in my lips. I am wondering the same thing, will my body reject fillers from now on or did I really have COVID without symptoms? But there are articles out there about late onset inflammtory reactions with the COVID vaccine or if you have had COVID.
Love this series !
Maybe the vax. I’ve heard of that happening
Im 50 next year, but have always had a thin top lip that thins even more when smiling....I have a long area from nose to lip, and no teeth show when mouth slightly open in that sexy model way! My mum is half Russian and has the most beautiful upturned upper lip, beautiful lips in general but I didn't inherit them!
In the last 3 years I have had 1ml each year, focusing 2/3 on the top. I'm much happier with them. In my opinion I'm not only improving an imbalance, but also restoring what has been lost on an already thin lip over the years. I have to save hard to do this but the confidence it gives me is great.
I also get a lip lifts using botox. I've had 3 now, using a bit more each time as it never quite gets to where I want it (and it's a fine line between a good lift and a lot of dribbling for a month!)
I think, Dr Rajani, I really should save for a surgical lip lift. I am obviously worried and don't want to end up with a funny smile or strange teeth show...or worse still, lips that don't meet, like strangers in the night haha.
The distance between the bottom of my septum to the lip is a good 2cm (almost exactly, perhaps 21mm).....that's a lot right?

Hi Dr I went to get juvederm lip filler and my lips swelled up really bad it almost looked like an angiodema which I had an episode one time a year ago do to a medication call lisinopril , thankfully the PA dilute the juvederm right away with an injectable solution and immediately my lips when down . Now let me tell you the same day she put juvederm on my face and nothing happened on my face so I’m concerned weather It was an angiodema or did she pinch a vein an cause my lip to swelled . She thinks she pinched me the wrong way and is not an angiodema but my lips where so bad so swelled up and they looked exactly like the time I had the episode with the lisinopril. And I really want to have my lips done but now im afraid
I have naturally bigger lips but I would give it try if needed
The only way to love.
7:28 Very interesting,, Plasma Lip, PRF. Is it injected in the same way as filler or is there a different technique used? I also wonder about vertical wrinkles above the lip and if you could suggest anything to reduce those, please?

What's yhe best type of filler for the nasal labial fold?

Is beta glucan better than hyaluronic acid?
My preference is Hyaluronic acid.
As a medico Aesthetician but not a practitioner of fillers I have recently learned of an increase in lip cancers. Could you enlighten me as to whether lip fillers could be a contributory factor. Not only in the type of filler used and the complications you so eloquently illustrated but also in the increased volume of lips causing protrusion from the face and therefore attracting penetration of UV to target this delicate tissue?
cancer is normally about inflammation (could be injection related, if often), autoimmune challenge (depends on filler) and viruses causing pathogenic cancers (bad hygiene by injector? and naturally the number of openings from needle) and light "catching" the healing tissue might be a factor
Having done 10's of thousands I don't have one patient with lip cancer.
We love video marketing...
If you have no lips, like John Cleese, makeup won't help much. But if you have average to slightly thinner lips, the lip tutorials using secrets of old Hollywood stars are amazing.
I like your quote a lot.
You can do a lot with the right make up techniques to make your lips look fuller as well. If you don’t know how to do this, ladies, go to your favorite make up store and ask someone there to show you or look it up on CZcams. It’s pretty simple to use the right lip liner and lipstick or gloss to make your lips look fuller. Lip plumpers can do a lot as the Doctor said as well. Ladies over 40: stay away from matte lipsticks because they show every line. Instead, go for a satin or a gloss.
There are limitations to this approach using lip liners though.. and I'm speaking from experience .. I never had a definite verm boarder on either top or bottom so when I do try to use a lip liner it really looks ridiculous, so the liner option is just not good for me.. I really wish it was.
@@staceydickinson8021 Well nothing is going to make you look 20 again - not even surgery. It was just a suggestion that helped me short of injections. Sometimes, you can get a better result depending on technique, the quality of the products being used and making sure you’re using the right colors for your skin tone.
@@RosiG73 I appreciated your initial tips comment for sure, because a lot of women could utilize those techniques.. I only chimed in about my personal self not being able to use lip liners unfortunately..

How often is too often for any filler and are there long term affects?
depends on type of filler and one's metabolism. As well larger lips need less filler less often. Smaller lips need filler in general more often.

I always had full(ish) lips, but as I started to age, I noticed my top lip started to go. I had lip filler a few months ago, a third of a syringe for bottom and top. I'm not keen on the bottom, but will continue with the top, a minimal amount.
So fascinating and informative.
You are such a good doctor. I'm in a prediciment. I have a lot of space between my nose and lip because of a maxofacial surgery (non cosmetic). I've tried lip filler and it works for about a week. I've considered the lip lift but because of my anatomy I think it won't work and would cause my teeth to show all of the time. Do you do lift lips?
I like your video very much.
I injject many times my lips but Never stay more than 1 month 😔😔😔 i changed many doctors and sort of ha but same results, 1month and always all gone 🤨🤨🤨 can you please tell me why ???
Love your love the most.
back-filling syringes is like when the local bar takes the Grey Goose vodka bottle and replaces it with Skol
So so true....I ve seen that too
Love your garden...
All about our love.
I feel like lip fillers made my top lip un even when I smile . :(
The top lip is indeed the most dynamic and difficult to get symmetric
What I meant to say so hyaluronic acid is used as a lip filler. Thank you
Your life is awesome...
They should ban it . You don’t know the ingredients inside the products, or infection and complications can occur. Some people don’t know when to stop ✋.
No one…absolutely no one looks good with lip fillers in my opinion. They just look so odd.
Keep in mind often you cannot see the good jobs
@@rajanimdskincare most the time I can tell no matter how good they are. Naturally full lips look very different.
