It's sad to say that evolution stopped after EA 2007.
Yep don Bradman and ashes 2017 is way too stiff and the graphics look like a ps2 game. They should get a new engine like 2k sports or EA sports.

I played all of them and even cricket 19 (big ant) and cricket 07 feels like years ahead it just has old graphics else gameplay and animations, replays, fielding these are just plain better in cricket 07

4:06 I don't know why but brian lara cricket 99 gives a very realistic vibe and i am not being nostalgic about it because i haven't played it. Eventhough the graphics are terrible but the gameplay feels even more authentic than the modern cricket games.

Brian Lara 99 did an incredible job. Some of the shots look better than the new games. Ashes 2017 will always be my favourite though

Brain Lara Cricket 99 I would say, is the most accurate and realistic cricket game I ever played and DBC 14’ the best modern era game with incredible bowling mechanics!
I have played every game from Graham Gooch world class cricket 1993 and onwards!! Great evolution but EA 2007 was legendary!!

The motion capture and lighting of Brian Lara 99 was the best ever. I am surprised no one even tried after that. The atmosphere was thrilling

Brian Lara 99 is the Don Bradman of cricket games. Other have been good but none have got near the sheer greatness of it. What a game. So much smoother and better looking than games a decade younger. Great work Codemasters.
in 2003,I played cricket 2002 a lot in my first potato pc with 256mb ram n geforce 2 64mb agp card,by the way those times were unforgettable n those experiences are really making me nostalgic now

Most people calling Cricket 07 best is speaking purely out of nostalgia. It was really fun and cool for it's time, but there are far better games out now.
Look at what Big Ant have done with a small studio and much lesser capital than a giant like EA.
Cricket 19 is the gold standard for cricket games now. 07 was good, but it's really dated now.

@@samratsanyal627 That was their decision from Don Bradman Cricket 14, they made it pretty clear that the array of controls they provide is not possible with a keyboard. That is a trait even with FIFA. Keyboard and mouse is officially supported there, but it's really just half the experience which a controller provides.
You can change the controls directly from your settings. You can even customize whether you want your batting or bowling to be like that.
@@pppatra the game offers the user the choice to use either classic or standard controls on first run, and I could not find any way to alter that once I understood that choosing classic is a huge mistake. Can you guide me on how to alter that?

You'll be able to switch between classic and standard for both batting and bowling.

Making a cricket game is too difficult unlike other games because the game physics doesn't work well or difficult to apply to make a realistic cricket game, but love for cricket game never dies....

Cricket can never be perfected as a game, there are just too many variation in bowling and batting that u cannot cover it in a game, i have bowled out australia on 3 runs coz i knew the exact spot where to ball, u get 100% success if u bowl that ball
A lot of video games has that one exploit where you can literally break the game. I remember people playing Super Side kick in arcade and it looked pretty hard. Now I am playing it on switch and i can easily score 4/5 goals on opposite team.

I still think, as difficult as it was to get to grips with, the first Don Bradman Big Ant game was the best. You really feel like you’re batting. Unfortunately the second DB game’s career mode was broken (your player can’t clear the ring and there’s no fielding restrictions so you can’t can’t score quickly enough to progress from club level), and the third game (Cricket 19?) has horrendous load times. Huge nostalgic soft spots for Brian Lara on the PS1 and Ashes 2009 though. I never played any of the EA ones.
