    Worse feeling when you mess something up. But like you said, “you live and you learn!”

      Yup! Every single time there's some type of obstacle and you just have to roll with the punches and keep going.

    Hey Edwin, just came across your channel. Great install vid. Glad you got a good deal on the intercooler too. I am a fan of CTS parts but also know a lot of the don't fit very well. I have there turbo back exhaust an the downpipe is a terrible fit. I have heard from many people the IC pipes are tough to line up. I have a white MK7 also. Keep up the good work dude!

      Hey dude I appreciate the love 🙏🏽. Not many GTI video ppl out there and I thought it’d be nice to install some stuff in case someone wanted to watch it. Aside from the Downpipe does the exhaust sound good?

    • @TruEGTI
      @TruEGTI Před 3 lety

      I think it is probably the best with the exhaust. Having the resonator and muffler is a great combo to calm down that raspy sound. I know its preference. But I absolutely hate the way our cars sound straight piped. I'm older but have always loved loud. But that sound is just not a VW sound, its way to Honda. But with a muffler an res. It has that nice deep torque sound like a VW. They have an audio clip on there site. But also just the downpipe with the stock cat back was not to bad. A lot louder that the CTS catback lol

    I feel your pain man, I swapped my IE intercooler all by myself and I can say it was a tone of work. The only clips I broke was one of the yellow core support clips.

    • @jaguardeoaxaca
      @jaguardeoaxaca Před 3 lety

      I thought I’d be able to do it alone but having someone to help maneuver the stuff makes things a lot easier. I thought I was gonna break that yellow support too since it was a little difficult to pop it out. Were you able to get a replacement part?

    • @djorkode1
      @djorkode1 Před 3 lety

      @@jaguardeoaxaca Nope hahahaha, it is semi secured in there. I am planning on driving a screw thru the yellow clips to secure em sometimes soon.

    Thanks for showing us the struggle. What hardware parts did you need if any? I just got one too but it only came with the hoses.

    • @jaguardeoaxaca
      @jaguardeoaxaca Před 3 lety

      No problem. All the hardware was reused from the actual old parts of the Intercooler. The hoses came with their own rings. Besides that I didn’t have to use any additional parts.

      From what I’ve seen, yea the Mk7 intercooler will fit the Mk8. I searched up the IE intercooler I’m running and it’s compatible with MK7 and 8
