In this video I just wanted to briefly talk about the brawl stars godzilla event and why I think it's pretty flawed and underwhelming. Hope you all enjoy the brawl stars video!!
Brawl stars recently released a patch to fix some of the bugs with the game mode, nerf some mutations, and give us 6 free monster eggs! However, i'm still not the biggest fan of how this event was implemented :/
This gamemode still sucks. Now Godzilla is unbalanced. At low trophies it breaks the gamemode because level 1-3 brawlers cant do enough damage but at highest trophies with more good people it gets shredded by Ricos and Megs without even getting close to enemies city
honestly idc about trophies bc they're useless and time wasting i just finish the daily rewards get all full all egg basket and then i give my phone back to my dad bc yk i'm not too much safe with phones
The fact that Super City Smash is trophy based gamemode is insane. If you dont have good mutations you are screwed and its just not fair losing trophies to mutated Meg, Rico and Ruffs against you. Also mythic eggs are new rare starr drop, they are super disappointing especially when you know you could get legendary egg with really cool skin, not 30 gems one which is downgrade from normal brawler model most of the times. And I hate that the players from my club that are just kids with 12k trophies and they wont play game for too long are getting Godzilla buzzes and Ranger Brocks but me and my friends who have like 30k and two titles got one legendary with skin that we dont like and since i got Red Ranger Brock I didnt get anything. I opened 20 eggs in total, but i have only 4 mutations, mostly the thrash ones. Nice video and good points man
Tbh the whole update felt way too much for me, mutations, the whole godzilla mode/club event and the rest fo the update could have very well been 2-3 different updates

besides that the event is great, mutations are so fun but dont ruin the game or anything, and without the bugs the godzilla gamemode is kinda fun, and the skins from this update are goated asf
I honestly agree, the mutations are unfair compared to others, the eggs are limited to 2 per day, and the godzilla gamemode is not fun at all. I wish they had capped the buzz skin at 1000, not 1250.
I feel like currently we just shouldnt complain to much since brawl stars just became SUPER POPULAR,and if we complain to much everyone might just only think about the bad parts and stop playing the game
I think they just shoud't make you lose an egg when you lose a game in the new gamemode. Or at least giving a normal star drop... But getting 50 coins instead of maybe a mutation /40 MUTATIONS yeah, it's just bad and it's not fun, because you have to play the meta to win eggs especially in big accounts.

funny how they said if you don't want you don't have to participate in the chaos of the mutations in the game modes but then quests basically make me play them rather I want to or not just so I can level up the pass
50% of my club haven’t opened eggs but I’ve opened 22, I really want the buzz skin but it’s gonna be impossible if I’m carrying my club (I have opened 10 more eggs then second place) and it’s even worse because I’m saving my gems to buy crow so I can’t buy eggs.
I hate that it’s worth trophies along with most others. I’ve had randumbs literally throw the match for no reason. You can’t even report these people which sucks. They need to add a report feature for ALL game modes imo- Super annoying and kind of mid update
That's why I permanently left Brawl Stars, even when the game was all buggy and the maintenance was over 2-3 days, I had no problem, but when the game turned into a pay to win, and when most of the brawl stars focuses on skins, I left, no hate, but just sad to see one of the best games I loved and recommend other is now turning into this, now playing brawlhalla btw

My thoughts: 1. The godzilla thing in the city smash gamemode is meant to suck when you're not playing it well, you need to coördinate with your teammates to get godzilla on the other side of the map to destroy the enemies city to win, you can't expect to just walk in there without teammates clearing the way. 2. Mutations are very chaotic and unbalanced and they know it, some people really like it because it is something very new and special that most other game developers wouldn't even dare to do, some people dislike it because it breaks the game and they just want to play the game normally. 3. Monster eggs are pay to win, but brawl stars recently had a gigantic peak in popularity and so supercell released one of the biggest, most experimental and progression boosting update ever to keep all of the new players playing and showing them what kind of a game brawl stars is, the monster eggs in the shop offer are pretty good value and opening monster eggs is very exciting, this combined means that a good amount of players will buy this offer, and with the playerbase peaking right now this will make them a ton of money which they can use to keep the game alive longer. This update was obviously made for all of the new players and less for the OG's, this update was made to profit as much and as long as possible from the recent peak in popularity. Some people might not like it but this update is very good for brawl stars and it's future.
valid points and as a f2p who is a casual i got 0 issues on this update so far,i got the skin for buzz and mutations on my favourite brawler I'm doing great tbh.
I felt the same way but now the event feels so much better after the maintenance. But that could be because of how bad it was before. But I have hope for it.
I hate this new update because it's so hard to get a single win in city smash, you have to wait 3-4 days for a new egg carton but it doesn't matter because of how hard it is to get 1 win so why do we have to wait, if you lose in city smash you lose trophies, I've opened about 20 eggs and I haven't gotten 1 mythic or legendary eggs which means I haven't gotten a skin yet and everyone else in my club has gotten The black Godzilla buzz skin, the surge skin, or both. This update is so stupid the only thing I like about it is the brawl pass because the baby Godzilla pins look goofy.

@@Adiraj_A1 i know on my 8000 trophies account I can win almost every game solo but on my 30 thousand one its nigh impossible its the same cookiecutter ass team EVERY SINGLE GAME, rico, ruffs, hank, frank, or melodie and they each wipe out our base solo in a couple seconds not to mention ive gotten like 6 mutations out of 20 ish eggs and all of them have been bad if you dont have ATLEAST colts you dont even stand a chance

I agree with the mutation in showdown. But I can forgive BrawlStars. Cause GODZILLA IS 100% EPICNESS. Specially the newest one. I was so exicted when I heard they were collabing with Godzilla. Honestly, this is the best update BESIDES when they added Chester.

I love the update as a godzilla fan, but you should be able to opt out of mutation modes. The gamemode is amazing imo, very cool as you have to kinda siege godzilla to their side
They fixed all (if not all, most of) the bugs on the Godzilla game mode and they buffed Godzilla and Mecha Godzilla, so now they’re actually good to use! Mainly because they’re the best to destroy the city considering now destroying the building using the brawlers now takes more hits. I think the mode is very fun! But the mutations in normal game modes sucks. I think this event is one of the most insane things they ever did on Brawl Stars, I hope they make more events like that in the future with different franchises (how about some Horror Movies Collaborations in Halloween? 🤫)
One thing I noticed was when playing city smash with mega carton active the game makes you fight harder enemies compared to no mega carton the enemies are easier to play against

I feel like whenever I want to get 6 full eggs in a carton, I’m just unlucky, yes it’s a skill issue but I just started playing for the Godzilla buzz skin and there’s only 8 days left and my club only has 300+ eggs and it’s impossible to get it if the eggs are that low. Mutations ruined it for me, The mutation for Brock literally made me lose so many games and that’s not the only thing, the mode is trophy based so it’s literally not possible to win unless you are very skilled. A game is not perfect with complains
Best strategy I could find for Godzilla City Smash is to just destroy the city with mutations and pick the Godzilla power up as a defense tool. If a tank like Frank or Hank approach you side you're at risk of losing, in those cases transform into Godzilla to tank their attacks and kill them easier. I also had good results with AoE mutations more than anything (Brock's is busted, destroys buildings pretty easily with attack/super and just melts godzilla). Won 5/6 games that way today. Game's still really flawed and I agree with many of your points, but I think people are quick to jump on the gamemode instead of finding alternative strategies or approaches.
Tell me about it you can be doing the event and collecting eggs yet some will contribute absolutely nothing but 1 egg just to get hands me outs also the long cool down for eggs is annoying maybe 2 days would be better but 4 is crazy especially with teammates only doing 1 egg and again waiting for it to end
I once went into a match against a mutated Rico and Ruffs. So basically bullets flying everywhere and i couldn't do much against it since there were so many. In short, it was Rio de Janeiro.
The reason i hate this event so much is that i really want the godzilla buzz skin BUT MY CLUB PEOPLE ISNT EVEN ACTIVE like theres literally a guy online 1 month ago and as a player who is active, IT REALLY JUST ISNT FAIR AT ALL i'd rather have NO EVENT AT ALL THAN DO SUFFER PAIN JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE DOESNT PLAY BRUH
so in general, I think its a great Idea, but you already said many of the problems, but my biggest problem is: -On my main accaunt I dont have luck at all with mutations, I'm mainly getting bad mutations and because of that, I manly lose in CitySmash and like that, I get less MonsterEggs from CitySmash because I dont have good Mutations. -As on my 2 MiniAccaunts, I got good Mutations and like that, its easier to win in CitySmash and I get more MonsterEggs wich equals in to more Motations wich equals in to even easier wins in CitySmash. So if you dont have good or not many Mutations, its harder to get Mutations so and like that the Gap is getting higher and higher
The mutations make playing unfun as long as you dont have a good mutation, and even then its boring. The eggs drops are never legendary for me so taht even just sucks..
Im not a fan of the game mode but i love everyrhing else so mich i dont care id Ruffs is broken that doggo not doing anything in solo showdown i love mutations i dont care how unfair they are and also finally being able to rank up some od my low level brawlers such as meg angelo and others. Also i love how exiting the eggs are and how they make you slash so many times when its a legendary just makes me more exited but after this event is over the whole month after this is going to be so dry only thing there would be a is draco new season and ranked season and other skins

First of all I’m the only one who hasn’t gotten a legendary egg yet but has opened 34 eggs. Second of all I have gotten 7 rare eggs in a row. And I got 6 rare Starr drops in my crate-_-

I think the event is cool and the game mode is kinda mid but the eggs are so annoying to get cuz u can only get 2 free eggs a day and some more every couple days. nah it's a great update bc mutations will be reversed and you can get free skin if your whole club is daily active 2*21*30=1260 even if some players aren't playing others can get eggs by winning godzilla gamemode also they gave 6 for free today
Firstly being a great godzilla fan this event for me is supper disappointing.I opened 85 eggs and got all the skin pink brock and not a single Godzilla buzz skin its a shit event even the eggs they are giving in shops are 149 first and 129 second like seriously dude.Then again the mode is trophy based a big zero for that.All new players are getting buzz skin whereas us old player being season 1 nothing just shit super disappointed in this event atleast they should lauch it in catalog so that other player can buy if possible.Such a great collaboration ruined by lame mode and eggs.You cannot even get a legendary eggs like i just got around 4 from 85. The biggest drawback is that you cannot even leave the club because of this event i literally would have got all 3 skin if i was able to leave fhe club but no.

I actually got the godzilla buzz skin from an egg and i didnt know it was possible lol, now the red version is what appeared for me to get in my club
the only good things for me in this update are free skin, gems, and possibility to get even more skins for free. Everything else sucks lol

I feel like whenever I want to get 6 full eggs in a carton, I’m just unlucky, yes it’s a skill issue but I just started playing for the Godzilla buzz skin and there’s only 8 days left and my club only has 300+ eggs and it’s impossible to get it if the eggs are that low. Mutations ruined it for me, The mutation for Brock literally made me lose so many games and that’s not the only thing, the mode is trophy based so it’s literally not possible to win unless you are very skilled. A game is not perfect with complains
Best strategy I could find for Godzilla City Smash is to just destroy the city with mutations and pick the Godzilla power up as a defense tool. If a tank like Frank or Hank approach you side you're at risk of losing, in those cases transform into Godzilla to tank their attacks and kill them easier. I also had good results with AoE mutations more than anything (Brock's is busted, destroys buildings pretty easily with attack/super and just melts godzilla). Won 5/6 games that way today. Game's still really flawed and I agree with many of your points, but I think people are quick to jump on the gamemode instead of finding alternative strategies or approaches.

Tell me about it you can be doing the event and collecting eggs yet some will contribute absolutely nothing but 1 egg just to get hands me outs also the long cool down for eggs is annoying maybe 2 days would be better but 4 is crazy especially with teammates only doing 1 egg and again waiting for it to end
I once went into a match against a mutated Rico and Ruffs.
So basically bullets flying everywhere and i couldn't do much against it since there were so many.
In short, it was Rio de Janeiro.
Tbh i think its okay if you always remember that we see it as a game ans they see it as a business opportunity which is entertainment 👀

honestly the mutations make every character so broken that they get balanced
I lose 20 trophies everytime trying to get eggs from the mode because my teammates just sit around or I get shit on by every rico I go against
The reason i hate this event so much is that i really want the godzilla buzz skin BUT MY CLUB PEOPLE ISNT EVEN ACTIVE like theres literally a guy online 1 month ago and as a player who is active, IT REALLY JUST ISNT FAIR AT ALL i'd rather have NO EVENT AT ALL THAN DO SUFFER PAIN JUST BECAUSE OTHER PEOPLE DOESNT PLAY BRUH
so in general, I think its a great Idea, but you already said many of the problems, but my biggest problem is:
-On my main accaunt I dont have luck at all with mutations, I'm mainly getting bad mutations and because of that, I manly lose in CitySmash and like that, I get less MonsterEggs from CitySmash because I dont have good Mutations.
-As on my 2 MiniAccaunts, I got good Mutations and like that, its easier to win in CitySmash and I get more MonsterEggs wich equals in to more Motations wich equals in to even easier wins in CitySmash.
So if you dont have good or not many Mutations, its harder to get Mutations so and like that the Gap is getting higher and higher

The mutations make playing unfun as long as you dont have a good mutation, and even then its boring. The eggs drops are never legendary for me so taht even just sucks..

Im not a fan of the game mode but i love everyrhing else so mich i dont care id Ruffs is broken that doggo not doing anything in solo showdown i love mutations i dont care how unfair they are and also finally being able to rank up some od my low level brawlers such as meg angelo and others. Also i love how exiting the eggs are and how they make you slash so many times when its a legendary just makes me more exited but after this event is over the whole month after this is going to be so dry only thing there would be a is draco new season and ranked season and other skins

This event with the eggs feels like a bad mobile game collab event, not braw stars.
First of all I’m the only one who hasn’t gotten a legendary egg yet but has opened 34 eggs. Second of all I have gotten 7 rare eggs in a row. And I got 6 rare Starr drops in my crate-_-

I think the event is cool and the game mode is kinda mid but the eggs are so annoying to get cuz u can only get 2 free eggs a day and some more every couple days. This is cool but it’s so annoying for the unluckiest player like me, I opened over 40 eggs and never even seen a mythic or legendary egg 😢
nah it's a great update bc mutations will be reversed and you can get free skin if your whole club is daily active 2*21*30=1260 even if some players aren't playing others can get eggs by winning godzilla gamemode also they gave 6 for free today
Firstly being a great godzilla fan this event for me is supper disappointing.I opened 85 eggs and got all the skin pink brock and not a single Godzilla buzz skin its a shit event even the eggs they are giving in shops are 149 first and 129 second like seriously dude.Then again the mode is trophy based a big zero for that.All new players are getting buzz skin whereas us old player being season 1 nothing just shit super disappointed in this event atleast they should lauch it in catalog so that other player can buy if possible.Such a great collaboration ruined by lame mode and eggs.You cannot even get a legendary eggs like i just got around 4 from 85. The biggest drawback is that you cannot even leave the club because of this event i literally would have got all 3 skin if i was able to leave fhe club but no.
