  • Nigel Farage said he wants to lead a “political revolt” against the Conservatives and Labour after announcing he will seek to become an MP at the General Election.
Mr Farage will contest Clacton, in Essex, after it was also announced that he will take over as leader of Reform UK from Richard Tice.
Talk’s International Editor and Tice’s partner Isabel Oakeshott joins Talk’s Jeremy Kyle to discuss this development further.

@@pip1723 It was a no brainer. It was obvious the cons had more chance of winning the election than the Brexit Party, so when Boris said he would get Brexit done it made complete sense for the Brexiteers to lend their vote to the Cons. Why do you think they ended up with an 80 seat majority when it had been forecast to be a hung parliament ? 🙄

Not true. Rishi Sunak insists Lord Frost could stand for Tories in general election
PM denies claims that former Brexit negotiator cannot apply for any of the 93 vacant constituencies
Frost would later state that he was "grateful" Sunak had clarified his eligibility for selection and that he would now "consider the options" despite it being "very late in the [selection] process".
