My God Joe did this Bob Dylan song justice ❤️
KING JOE .... COCKER STILL LIVES ON .. WHAT A VOICE ! HARD TO FORGET !
Only Joe could bring it on like this. So much fun ...enjoyable to watch. He sure do love to put soul in the music and this band and guests go right along with it . Too cool.
What a splended performace, so many people involved in this and they are all united. THX BackToTheBlues for his clarification of the Blues harp
Best Video for me last 2 year.
Greetings from Sweden

A legend who made best live album Mad Dogs but not good enough for the hall of shame
Grazie Joe Dylan
And the rock solid pocket of Eric Parker on drums!!!! THE Eric Parker
We miss you, Mr J C
As usual Joe takes a song and somehow makes it better
neeeded a shot o this blues
@AndranikAzizbekyan: He does give credit to James Cotton, at about 1:26 into the song.
Where's Stevie Ray Vaughan..He will liven this gig up and up..Sing it Joe Cocker..what a performance..Joe Coker a legend ..
Saw Joe and SRV at Stevie's last concert in Montreal - a spectacular night. ♥
Brian Auger was the highlight of this performance.Cockers voice was shot.
@YT28666 Thanks for the info...
buen cover saludos
I think part of the problem is he was stuck in a tune with the wrong key harp, really limited what he could play since he couldnt really play cross harp against the key the song was in. He's really a good player, not his best example at all.
Oh the harmonica tho.. Stuck in first position at a blues jam might as well be centre stage with your pants down
Sure looks like Brian Auger on the Hammond B3?? yes?
James Cotton's playing 'straight' harp here (an E harp on a song in E) as opposed to cross harp (an A harp on an E song) which somewhat restricts what he can do. I thught he did the best he could with the notes he had available.
THX for Your information, even though I don't understand it all, but for the moment We skip that. I've played Blues Harps the last 50 years 'now and then'
I thought that the Guy 'James Cotton' was - is playing on some 'miniharps'
that would make it possible to make these tunes.
Like some other do!
Is he playing on some normal! Horner Blues Harps!
I can't believe that, but ,,,,,,
Hope for an ansver
Have a Nive Midsummer-party If Y have such stuff, like herring and other
stuff!
Never mind
Greetings from Swedeb
@@kokadkokis The high notes are the high ones on a standard diatonic harp in the key of the song, blown but bent - I can do it, but it's hard to explain how to (there might be videos on CZcams explaining 'first position' blues harp, I don't know). It's a style Jimmy Reed used to use a lot, and Stevie Wonder plays on te solo of Boogie On Reggae Woman.
The person who taught me (indirectly - I never met him) about straight, cross and third position harp styles was British one-man blues band Duster Bennet, on his live album recorded at the Gin Mill Blues Club (which is very good, and on CZcams). He's starting the next song as the applause is still going from the previous one, and I knew he wouldn't have had time to change the harp in his neck rack. He was obviously using a C harp all the time, so I had to work out how he was doing it!
On that album the first song is in G (cross harp), the second in C (first position), and the third in D (third position). All on the same harp. Clever stuff!
@@BackToTheBlues I can, and have played these notes as well, but not in the 'way' he does, so I thought maybe he had a 'special' harp - not so.
THX for a good reply
What equip did you use for this clip, the video and sound are very good?
how many keyboards does one need? Way too many here
It was just enough for the sound we wanted. And it was never more than two except when someone, rarely, sat in, like in this clip.
He wasted so many years with drugs and alcohol.
Cotton's harmonica is minus for that song, like a crowd of rats
The harp played nothing!!!
The singing legend that gives 100% performance which is Joe Cocker..Joe entertains all over the world and he is so humble with his fans..Your sensational Joe..I love listening to Joe sing solo and times with his backup singers and his band is fantastic..RIP Joe Cocker..your missed
