My god... All of these docs are just warning to people not to marry Korean men
This was years ago when he lied and they are still married. Clearly she’s still happy and they worked it out. They look like they communicate and support each other in their marriage. Let’s not forget he brings her flowers, supports her goals in life, picks up groceries from the store, was helping her study for her naturalization interview. This was a great story and thank you for letting us have a glimpse into your lives.
I know right? They seem like they have a wholesome & cute relationship. I don't know why some of the people in the comments have to be so negative...
EDIT: I watched part two and... Never mind what I said here 😬
whitneyrful, I agree completely! Judging from the title, I started watching with the assumption that he was not a great partner. But turns out he is a great guy who shows his love for his wife and his commitment to her in multiple ways.
i recommend you to watch the new part :/
😂😂go and see part 2
Oh god starting off your relationship with a blatant lie 🙄
It's not strange for someone to lie about a 4 year difference, especially when you're already 8 years apart, but to keep it a secret is really strange. I'd be willing to bet that lie has been on his mind for the entire time they were married. It's not worth it. I don't blame her for trying to find out if he has any other secrets
mind your own business.
It is strange lying to someone about there age, it’s about consent
He still shouldn’t lie about it
Lying at the beginning of a relationship is a major breach of trust and manipulation
She's a beautiful lady and seems very pleasant to be around.
love her energy 😌
Y’all should watch part 2…he’s a negative. She only knew the real age of her husband after giving birth to their child. She was trapped by then, imagine leaving your country and not speaking the language. Then getting pregnant and giving birth to find out your husband is a liar? She works so hard. Watch part 2. She’s too good for him.
That's what I'm saying, I cant help but feel like everyone is sweeping the real issue under the rug. People get divorced over less, I feel shes only with him cause of her children. There doesnt seem to be much protection in Asia for women when it comes to these things. Had the shoe been on the other foot she'd be a single mother cause he would have abandoned her and their kids.
@@amshyllsekhmet6631 young girls glamorize this and think catching any type of Korean guy is winning.
What the heck? If I were her, I wouldn't have remained even a day more with him. She has every right to leave. I guess she couldn't since she has a child to feed 😔 Poor her. May God grant her strength.
gotcha bih 🤣
She is living a good life in a rich country instead of her poor mother country, where adults struggle to find jobs and feed their families. So it's a good trade off
It’s the fact he lied about something so small like his age, he could lie about a lot more serious things. I would divorce straight away!
In Korea age is a really big thing and age really affects dating and marriage in American or other western countries it’s only a big deal if they are underage or in there 60s. I will say lying for 12 years is something I would be pissed at but it was just age not something big people have held bigger secrets for longer and not have gotten divorced so for her it probably was a tough pill to swallow but not enough for divorce.
Exactly!
I think age is a huge thing to lie about. especially 12 YEARS
@@hi-il7ug it wasn’t 12 years but 4 years
@@chimchimbiasedwreckedbyjin4056 he wasnt lying for twelve years, the lie was that he was actually twelve years older and she found out four years later
Now i gotta be asking for national Id card on the first date....🙈😜
we really gotta be checking if this person real or not 💀
These comments are killing me saying its no big deal. No way if it was the other way around would a man stay if the woman was 12 years older 🤡😂
they're over it.. and if a man leaves just because a girl is 12 yrs older than them then she should be happy the trashbit taking themselves out
Originally she thought he was 8 years older..4 more years isn’t much different..plus they’re happy together still
@shiro182…. Age is nothing but a number but I do agree with you. In society, if it were the other way around… opinions would be different.
@@PhongNguyen-df9bt watch pt 2.
Not even! She found out the truth after giving birth! A man can just walk away but this woman had a baby in a foreign country. She was stuck at that point
Lol, OMG the age thing. Why do people lie about age? I've had men lie about their age a few times. Sometimes it's just creepy.
ive done it if I was 20 years older lol that stuff can freak girls out which is why I sometimes add a fib or two!
Because they want to date younger women/feel that men are entitled to young women. But know there is a stigma on a man who is 35+ and unmarried
@@bevs9995 theres a pretty low stigma on men especially for a succesfull man compared to women. Some guys won't touch a girl over 30. I think though age can initially freak someone out if youre 15+ years older which is why guys lie initially but like everything else honesty is the best policy
@@sirij8784 In the west, women are told to avoid men who are 35+ and of childless/never married status. Because this is a strong indication of an undesirable/the type of guy no woman wants. Even if he is 'successful' and better looking than average, then it could be a sign of a personality issue, such as narcissistic personality. There is just no such thing as a "perfect bachelor" who is past the age of 35. Age gap marriages are rare, particularly among first marriages. They only 6-7 percent total in most western countries, they are mostly between two divorced people, and have 6-14+ times higher divorce rate (divorce rate increases with every year between a couple, but sharply increases around 8-10 years.) Age gap marriages are also more common among: women over 30, interracial marriages, and international marriages. So there mostly like for divorced women, women with children from a previous relationship (especially multiple children) and women 30+ marrying men in their 40s. And yet still only make up 6-7% of total marriages, and most of them also are childless. There is kind of a rule though that a man should make more money, relative to the age gap or his age. It's like and insurance policy because these relationships have such a high rate of dissatisfaction and dissolution. Because of the high divorce rate, and because a man past 35 is a mark of an undesirable, so it is true in the West too, that if you make a lot of money, there is more lenience. Few men will make this of course; as its very common for men to believe that they should date younger women, but only 1-2% of them will actually have a child with one, and even fewer will have their first child/woman's first child. But if you dont have a career (a real one) then you have to lower your standards, and also there is an added risk for higher divorce rate, which will hurt a man with assets more than it would a poorer man... It is also true that according to OKCUPID data study, women do not show any particular openness to dating a 'older man' until they reach about 30. (The OKCUPID data study also showed that women in their early 30s down-ranked men in their early 30s, and up-ranked men in their late 20s as being better looking.) So in the west, there does seem to be a stigma on women 30+ as well, forcing them to lower their standards to those they would not naturally be interested in. Besides that, I believe that these women are probably more materialistic, possibly more educated on average, and they know that a lot of men leftover in their 30s (a man's 30s) are going to be poorer, but a decent number of men in their 40s looking for younger women, would be the type of men that have more of a career .
@@sirij8784 I also think men lie for more of a reason than "it can initially freak someone out." If they are even attracted to you , then they should be willing to talk to you. If you hit it off, and get along, they should be willing to date you. If they are "Freaked out" by learning your age, then it is something else. It's Judgement.
I lived in Korea and so many lie about their age its crazy
who cares lol, if u love someone, age don't matter.
@@CoolNumber1 yes so why lie about age in the first place, right?
@@n1ng101 Maybe she will reject him lol.
agree, I lived there too. They all do it. It happened to me
@@CoolNumber1 then age does matter.
When you lie about basic personal information like age how can you be trust on big things??
12 years??? How can you lie about 12 years?! Bruh I would've divorced him straight away
he said he was 8 years older instead of 12. So when she found out she thought he was 32 when he was really 36.
He lied about 4 years not 12.
he did not lie for twelve years.. he lied that their age gap is 8yrs instead of 12.. also they're over it and is past it.. he is also a good husband to her.. i would rather have a husband who lied about his age than a crap of a husband
As if u never lie in your entire live lmao, stfu you dog. If u love someone, who cares about age you dog.
@@arcdave2735 did you watch the next part lol. A guy that's willing to lie and cheat his way in life doesn't exactly mean he's a nice guy.... You cant excuse it like he lied about forgetting her birthday or something. This guy isn't a good husband. He's controlling and manipulative. Watch everything first.
12 years is such a huge difference. This is so deceitful 🤮
She looks and speaks like a local! She's so pretty tho ♥︎
Lol they were surprised by a husband and wife greeting each other with a kiss XD
my friends dad also did the same. but instead of being the same age he was like 5 years younger LOL
Ok, come on, they were sweet and so adorable.
And from what i see from this exact video, she is hella hard-working😮Man, the amount of homework and the level of difficulty for what she is doing. Congrats for everything that she has created for herself. She seems like an amazing person!
Ugh It's so korea. You know he shopped at ahjumma's grocery store down the street when they give you a box instead of plastic bag to carry the groceries
I think people r more upset he treats her like trash
Ppl have not watched part 2 it seems
He is guilty so this is why she wanted his son to get married; no good reasons from the beginning, shame!.
I’m sorry just looking at him you can tell he’s way older 😭 but yeah age is pretty important and a dumb thing to lie abt I’d leave asap
But you can’t always though.. some people look older or younger than their age. He originally said he was 8 years older so the 4 years wouldn’t make much of a difference in appearance compared to if he’d said he was the same age
The same happened to my aunt. She married at 19 and he's 12 years older. They went on a trip and she looked at his ID and got the shock of her life LOL
That's terrible. He should have been honest, especially with a gap that big.
And then what happened? Did she divorce him? Did he lie more to cover it up?
@@azizcammioneur7311 No, they are still together but in my opinion he's an arse to her. They dated from when she was 15. She "forgave him" for lying..now she laughs about it 🙂. Idk my family is very conservative, apparently the only question my grandfather asked her before he said they could marry is if she could imagine living the rest of her life with him 🥲. If someone were to treat me like that I would divorce them. But I guess different times back then. He's the type who is quiet and never says much, but when he does it's mostly to criticize. Also likely thinks women should serve men in the relationship and give up everything. The first 10 years of the marriage he did not allow her to visit her parents, he's still very mean when she does, and they literaly live on the farm next to my grandparents. He's been nicer since he had a heart-attack but still 😬
@@jce1392 Wow. That's so sad. I am so sorry for her. Thank you very much for sharing.

disgusting why lie about age
my dad also faked his age to my mom lol
Why does this lady kind of look like an older version of sana from twice😂
omg she do looks like Sana a bit
She also has a bubbly personality
This woman is so elegant and beautiful.
this is exactly why i asked my husband for his ID card b4 we started dating. i ddnt want to be involved wt an unknown person, had to know his full real name, age and where he is from 🤣
I would marry a guy like this, hes funny and sweet..my sould would be very happy. Nice couple
go and see part 2 😂
Yea. Honey, I hope you rethink that. This man is not what you think he is. He complains that his wife isn't like most Korean wives that she doesn't take care of her child like most Korean wives. She made him dinner. An ENTIRE spread of food and he DEMANDED garlic. Then water. Then he told her to clean it all up after only taking a few bites and demanded she make him ramen afterwards. He complained that she never makes the food he wants to eat. Bought her a book filled with recipes disguised as a present and said see its not that hard to make ... He always wants her to make gimbap knowing that she has a past trauma with it. He's just disrespectful. But hey if you like a man like that. I love it.

Grounds for divorce
It's just 4 years and they were both adults before marriage, so it doesn't matter. I love her personality and I hope she gets naturalized, seems like a good story.
watch the next part, the husband is a crap guy
If it didn’t matter why didn’t he tell her before he baby trapped her
It's 12 years
Yea that's not nothing. Imagine what other things he's lying about if he's lying about something as simple as his age. The fact that he lied about it and his mom was the one that slipped up and told the wife after she had his baby just tells you all you need to know about his character. He's a peice of 💩.
How does it not matter? I would have trust issues with a person who could even lie about their age. Seems like a habitual lief

watch part 2, the husband is a crap guy
@@ericaroka I have. I think ppl are quick to judge him bc he “seems” ungrateful. If you actually watch it, you can see they do care for each other and he does show it. Nobody is perfect, we all have our moments. If she was truly unhappy, I’m sure she would do something about it. She doesn’t seem like a person who would subject herself to that. Plus, all tv shows are edited….Only they know the truth 😜
Age is just a number? I bet paedos would agree😏
My partner lied about his age, he said he's only 4 years older and turned out to be 6. We're still together after 15 years
People in this comment section need to watch the video "Daughter goes missing, husband blames wife and criticizes her cooking [Part 2] | K-DOC", to understand why everyone in the comments is saying he is disrespectful towards her.
