Gives his cousin 5lbs of MJ... cousin invites him to party... cousin leaves party early, leaving Taylor alone before cops show up... cousin leaves bag of MJ in Taylor's trunk... car windows get busted out.... police show up ask to search car after it's vandalized.... cops find MJ! That sounds like a setup, if that story is true!
I was the one who recommended the video. VY was my MS/HS teammate in basketball. He would always tell us about Ramonce and said he was the best RB on the roster. That was with Jamaal Charles on the roster. Last I heard Ramonce was coaching and doing well in his community, so that's a blessing in itself.
I remember playing w/this guy, #11 on NCAA. Guy was the fastest players on the team at like 97. Always used to sub him in at RB and watch him dance to the end zone. Ahhhh the glorious memories!
You never know he might end up as an assistant coach or a player position coach at Texas like a RB coach where he can really make a great living doing that. He truly was a great player at Texas and I remember still to this day watching him and winning two rose bowls. Tell this man to keep his head up and keep doing his thing. He will eventually get up the D1 college level coaching and making a great income.
@@leo29hornsfan Doubtful. Ramonce was still getting high before games while he was playing Arena Football towards the end of his career, years after leaving Texas.
Matt I'm loving these videos of near forgotten college athlete stars. Glad you found something to cover where no one else is during the off-season. Keep up that hard work.
Good show again Matt. Romance Taylor is one of my favorite players of all times. Every time he touched the ball you had to hold your breath. Nice story.
Romance was a great player. Reggie Bush was number 1 in all purpose yards that championship year, Romance was number 2 in the nation. Dude was special.
Was a really young kid when I watched ramonce. He was in hs then. He was an absolute celebrity in Belton, the town would shut down to see one of his sporting events. He was the most incredible athlete I have ever seen with my own eyes. Those 2 seasons of his at UT live in my memory forever. He was special.
And what’s even sadder is that today, he probably would’ve gotten off with a light suspension. The world changes so quick and so fast. He was just born 15-20 years too early.
I met him before and shook his hand...told him im still super impressed and super pleased with his performance in the National Championship and Big 12 Championship game 😊
For those that don’t know Marlin High School is in Marlin, Texas about 40 miles from Waco.. I think they are a 2A School but they are a powerhouse in Football winning back to back State Championships and having several players sign D1 Scholarships to Big Time Colleges.
I saw Ramonce at a basketball tournament in Hearne back in January. He’s coaching at Marlin and been there a few years, says he’s still pretty close to Quan Cosby. Seemed pretty chilled and we talked about both those Rose Bowls that Texas won against Michigan and USC.
Cedric Benson, Ramonce Taylor, Selvin Young. That RB room was deep. We're finally getting back to that standard thanks to Bijon and Roschon. 🤘 Jaydon Blue and and Cedric Baxter will be #1 duo 2024
Mack Brown and the coaches were not involved enough in what the team was doing outside of practice. There were other players getting in trouble at the same time.
