I like it when you put in the radio warning and then you open the door to the save room. It makes the save room, well, a real save room.

I love this, partly because theres no obnoxious drumming that starts halfway thru it, like so many other SH inspired songs do🙄 This keeps the tone relaxed and calming, dark and mysterious, the way Silent Hill music SHOULD be.
Glad another person see‘s it that way. Too often drumbeats turn otherwise wonderful ambiences into triphop sessions.

dude I legit thought this was from the first or second game until I read the description.
I haven't ever actually finished any of the SH games, but I've definitely played them and dabbled quite a bit, and know quite a bit of the lore.
That said, I don't know every room or track that plays or goes on in the game, ya know. Those are the little details you'd find after many playthroughs, etc.
So without that prior knowledge, I legitimately thought this track was a part of the games. Fucking amazing work man, I hope you're still at it
Ha, that's the greatest message that I got today! Even though my focus lies on RE, other SH inspired tracks will definitely come every now and then (so far I did four I believe). And should you ever chose to dive much deeper into Silent Hill one day, I wish you best of luck out there... down there.

I was heavily inspired by the positive feedback here + had some days off, so I kept doing what I love :-) Don't worry about the quote. I enjoy when you venture into Silent Hill territory. As much as I love and enjoyed more Resident Evil titles Silent Hill 2 will go down as the best experience I've had with a horror game, in almost (if not all) every aspect! Got stuck on the piano puzzle in Silent Hill 1 haha. Great work as always!
I got stuck in several puzzles of SH1! Sometimes I just got stuck out in the town with no clue where to go or what to do next. Gaming was so much more hardcore back then (our favourite topic, haha) :-D SH2 will remain my personal favourite as well. The most intense moment for me was that endless tunnel leading from the SH Historical Society down to the prison. Nothing really happened there, but that dark howling... oh my.....
Yeah, that was a great part of the game, I remember thinking what on earth is going on, is it meant to go on for this long?! Then you jump down three large holes and come to an elevator. Finally a trip back to the surface... nope. Down you go for another 60 seconds haha.

Brilliant take on my favorite Silent Hill game ;), some parts remind me of the church in which Harry meets Dahlia for the first time. I feel that's the song Harry would hear in his head after waking up in the diner, doubting what he saw right before losing consciousness.
You mean "Clawfinger", yes that's right, I was aiming a little bit for a similar vibe. SH1 had only few but powerful calmer, highly atmospheric tracks that are echoing through my life until today. "Only you" would be another one. Cool to know I'm not alone here.
I sincerely think Silent Hill 1 has the best songs in the entire series with SH3 being a close second. SH2 is (imho) the weakest of all first four games when it comes to the OST, doesn't mean it's bad by any stretch though! (And again I might be biased with SH1 being my favorite and all). And yeah, SH1 songs such as "Cafe Rest" are obligatory listens when fog settles in my town ;) or when I'm, coincidentally, sipping a cup of coffee in front of the typewriter.
Hahahaha I bet you do that! :-D Best experience for me is listening to the calm and twisted stuff like "Cafe Rest" when walking around outside in a really crowdy place. A shopping mall for example. It changes the entire inner and outer face of the world around you and you feel how you slowly sink down into another realm. Who needs drugs.

By the way, I first experienced _Silent Hill_ through a Blockbuster rental. Roughly five years later, I purchased a copy of my own from a downtown store. I think I still have my initial copy (only the disc, sadly), but, a little over a decade later, I purchased a sealed copy for my retro game collection. If you couldn't tell, I love Konami's love letter to old school horror.

This one definitely reminds me of the Silent Hill games, of which I miss so dearly, so it's great to hear more music that reminds me of them. I love how you are successful in writing a new Save Room song that sounds like Resident Evil, or write one that sounds like Silent Hill, or write one that could be either one. I love, in essence, how you are talented enough to be able to have such versatility with your music. You certainly studied the sound well from these game so you replicate the sound so well. This has been a great week for me I must say, Sony's PSX, new Resident Evil 7 trailer, the Resident Evil 7 demo final update which is so scary, and now I'm blessed with hearing TWO brand new Save Room songs from you. Also, if you don't mind me asking you sir, I found two songs on your channel that were written for a Resident Evil fan film called Bio Evil. One song was called "Wheels of Justice" and the one was called "The Lone Age Of Disharmonic Bells" I believe. I really love how they turned out and how well they payed homage to Resident Evil/Resident Evil 2's music while still sounding beautiful & original. I know they were tied to the movie, but, is there any way they could be uploaded to Bandcamp like the others? Just wondering because I really loved them as well! Thanks for your time man!

About those songs for Bio Evil, don't worry, they will be made available at some point. At the moment I'm working on music for that amazing fan project every now and then on a request basis, and once the entire score is complete, I plan to release it as a separate album. I think that's better than to mix it with my other stuff, you know? In the meantime I suggest you to follow the project over at Salastar Productions (I provide the link in the description of Bio Evil music); those guys welcome and deserve any support they can get! New Resident Evil Save Room Music I'm glad to hear that both the music and their fan film are still happening down the road. I know about them guys, they're awesome, I love all of their Resident Evil compilation movies & original content like the segment they did on George Trevor. Also I thought their "Bio Evil" movie was cool from what I saw of it as well. I loved how they focused on a story told from a more individual/personal level that the game's rarely explore. They often only hint at such events through the various files and books you find lying around. For example I would love to have sat in the S.T.A.R.S office with the remaining Alpha & Bravo Teams after coming back from the Spencer Mansion incident. The things they must have said, thought, and felt inside themselves. Along with the meeting I'm sure they held with a Chief Irons about it all, with not much progress made on the situation, gotta love Umbrella's corruption on the town & their people of power. The movie they worked on reminded me of such thoughts and events I imagine happening so I'll definitely write to them man. Thanks for updating me on the music for it, its brilliantly done, so I can't wait till it's ready for purchase. Definitely buying it along with your other works man.
Also...I know I did talk about this song in my previous, but, this is such an awesome track. Very mysterious and atmospheric. I LOVE the synth work done for this track, I'm a fan of piano/keyboard synth especially in my RE/SH games, so this really came out awesome. Random question for you as well, I'm not sure what Resident Evil games you have or have not played yet, but have you played Revelations 2 at all yet? The reason I'm asking is because the game is fantastic for one. But. There's a song in the game that's only played in the "End of Chapter/Results Screen" called "Distant Memories" on the official soundtrack. My channel & its matching name are inspired by Resident Evil, Save Rooms, Save Room music, and that song in particular because is definitely one of my all time favorite RE tunes. Highly recommend checking out both the game & that song. It has the same effect on me as all Save Room/Save Room style songs do evoking such strong memories & feelings of atmospheric brilliance. This probably won't surprise you, but since I played Revelations 2 for the first time, that song you mention appears on my all-time playlist :-) In fact I even considered it to be the save room theme, which Revelations actually lacked. Since RE5, that function got more and more taken over by chapter/result screens. The two Revelation games added the lobby/vestibule themes of their respective raid modes to the mix of calmer songs. Btw, it's funny how I never noticed that "Distant Memories" was also the name of a fan-made RE game project, which I think got cancelled. Perhaps a nod by Capcom? You never know... :-)

What is the main difference compared to RE and what aspects would you consider important for a new DC track? Apart from the obvious existing DC save room theme of course, which I know pretty well. Can i ask what hardware youre using for your sounds man ?
A Yamaha workstation is my main tool, i.e. no high-end stuff or complex software involved. Not technical setup/effects are key here, but rather the songwriting... hitting keys that a regular (formally taught) musican wouldn't hit.

That's a nice name as well, and fitting in a strange way. On the official OST that I own, however, it is titled "Fear of the Dark".
@@SurvivalSpheres fear of the dark is the remix of the ost while Trinkets is the actual name since Green Lion antiques is where Harry goes to find clues.

@@SurvivalSpheres Maybe its because a trinket is a item or keepsake or souvenir usually found in said places... even small shops and goodwill stores. So in essence the Green Lion Antiques store in the game has "Trinkets" and Harry Mason has to find something in there, maybe a secret church or something.
