This is my complete first winter of Winter Van Life in extreme conditions in the North, living in a van during freezing temperatures. Starting in January I go through the whole winter season of snowy winter adventures from January to April, with snow storms, blizzards, extreme cold, extreme snowfall, slippery roads and some amazing winter beauty as well.
I also show you what I learned from my first winter in the van.

Includes Camping in Winter in snow storm in my van/Rv whereI found myself stuck in a blizzard on a mountain pass in a snow storm. Elements of ASMR and strong wind sounds.
The weather forecast said 27 m/s, 60 mph or 97 kph and the wind and snow was howling. It was a whiteout. At the end of the day I had an interesting stormy view while having my breakfast, coffee and making pan pizzas.

When I go camping in my SUV during the winter, I make a nice comfy bed in the back with a small heating blanket and a small butane heater (yes, I ventilate). I heat some tea, cuddle up with Tank the Camping Dog. I adore the ambient, small, comfy area. If I want to, I open my sun roof and climb up through onto to roof of my SUV. I wrap the dog and I up with that heating blanket and watch the stars.

The drive thru the mountains approaching the polar circle was beautiful with clear skies and sunlight. The northern lights were a wonder to behold! Your prowess in dealing with the blizzard was extraordinary! What an adventure! Glad you made it out. The caravan thru the mountains with the snow plow was exciting. First, Coffee Time is the best segment(s) of all your videos. Drinking hot coffee while being snug as a bug in a rug in the tent or van.
What brand of tires do you use on your van?
Have you ever needed to use snow chains?
Do you carry extra diesel fuel if you get stranded longer than expected?
7:00, no graffiti or trash on the Polar Circle Monument signage or grounds. Here in the States, an area like this would be littered, and the signs marred with graffiti.
At 20:30, pulling over (and almost getting stuck trying to do a favor) to let traffic pass and commenting about feeling pressured and stressed with traffic behind you wanting to go faster or pass. I would have pulled over too to drive more leisurely and enjoy the drive in the scenery.

Thank you so much my friend! I have Nokian Hakkapaliitta studless winter tires, they are amazing. I do bring chains for emergencies but have never had to use them. The signs are full of stickers, so you could say it is the same here. Yeah, I dont like to have people behind me stressing me when I enjoy the scenery

I really admire your courage on all your adventures, especially the blizzards. Leaving your van and camp overnight in your tent and get buried with snow, then the walk back, omg I would be afraid I would never make it back. Snow is beautiful and also very cold. That is the most snow I have ever seen and the drive was gorgeous. You have the best scenic views and the prettiest but I do have to say the tunnels would scare me. I thought for sure you were going to be buried in snow for days in that tent. I am so happy you are ok and I think I would have been like see ya to the tent and went back for it when the storm died down. Winter time is my favorite time of year and before I die I will make it up to the arctic circle and at least live there for a snow season. Thank you my friend for taking me along with you. This was an interesting snow storm. You faced challenges and somehow worked them out. I hate digging out from a snow storm, Yet you made it look so easy. Our favorite part of this snowstorm was each time you take the first sip of coffee and make that "aahhhh" sound. The scenery is simply amazing, Thank you for showing us this amazing journey. Great video. In all your trips I love to see the homes and buildings in the area and wonder how they can live there? I like to see others you see. So much snow, rain and bad weather! Excellent adventuring advertising.
I used to own two Norwegian sweaters. I found them in Colorado and I loved them so much, I wore them every winter. But when I moved back to Hawaii, my mom made me get rid of them. I hope someday to buy more. Crazy that I am 40% Norwegian and never been to the country, but when I was in college , I was so drawn to the pretty Norwegian sweaters and the snow.

This was a fabulous journey! So enjoyed! I love winter videos of Norway so much - one can appreciate the glory of the lands and the beauty they offer like no other place outside of the Scandanavian countries. A beautiful secret world. The travel on the white roads was beautiful - and I just loved riding through the tunnels with the ice and snow all around the interior - looked like a dream. So glad you stopped when you did to enjoy resting for the evenings with your pizzas. You certainly worked so hard digging your huge van out of the massive snow after your long arduous hike!! Bravo!!
