  • In this video Mary Jo Monte rides the Little Miami Scenic Trail in southwestern Ohio from Newtown to Xenia. She stops at Camp Dennison, a civil war encampment and the town of Loveland where she has lunch at Paxton’s Grill. From there she rides north to Morrow and stops at the railroad depot. Then she spends the night at Morgan’s Riverside Campground. The next morning Mary Jo interviews Jack Blosser, the site manager at Fort Ancient. Next on her journey she stops at the Spring Valley Wildlife Area and finishes up her ride at Xenia Station.

There’s a large brewery at that Cartridge plant. Yes, cartridge brewery. Thanks for these videos.

Love this trail! I've ridden every segment of it between Yellow Springs and Milford. Outside of Miamiville is a cemetery where Charlie Henry Rich is buried. Rich was playing cards with Wild Bill Hickok, and had dealt him the "Dead Man's Hand" of Aces and Eights which Hickok was holding when he was shot in the head from behind and murdered. Rich's tombstone is engraved with a depiction of the cards he had dealt Hickok.

I grew up in Loveland. Rode that train many times. Nice little part of town.

Why this video doesn't have millions of views baffles me. This video is a great illustration of the marvelous LMRBT.

I bet there are a million towns and crossings in the USA that people simply drive through mindlessly, that would otherwise be very interesting if you cycled through and educated folks along the way.
I live in Southern Indiana, and there is absolutely Nothing here... or is there?
    Thanks for all you do.
You're a National Treasure, as Robert DeNiro said in the movie "Analysts This" you you, no you, you're good you.
