Great video Drewry, first time seeing how Banku is made. You are really amazing in your cooking skills
Banku, pepper for a hot afternoon here in Ghana is a delight. Well done sissy 👏
The fish is indeed crispy sis I love the flour you added to the oil, honestly I haven't before would try it 😃this is a must enjoy banku, can tomato taste yummy too when used 😋, very inviting to eat and beautiful presentation 👌🏽😍
Hey Sis! I fry fish using similar seasoning (I use garlic instead of curry powder) but it never occurred to me to put the flour in the oil instead of quick dipping the seasoned fish in flour! Brilliant idea and more economical too. The pepper paste looks delicious also. I think this will be my next Friday dinner. As always, thank you so much for sharing your talents with us. Oh, by the way, the thing you ground up the pepper, onion & tomato is called a pestle in English. We have a pestle and mortar- the mortar is a rounded bowl that you put spices in and then you roll/grind the pestle to crush, blend and mix everything together. (I’m so glad that there is something I can teach you instead of you always teaching me!!). Be blessed Sister. Cheryl
Hi dear! ❤️ you know I thought about the mortar and pestle, but the I was like Naa.. this one is way bigger so I’ll ask my subscribers 🤣🤣🤣🤣 then I’ll call it mortar and pestle then !! Hope you are doing well 😘
@@Drewrykitchen Yes I am doing well Sis thanks for asking dear! A mortar can be any shape or size or material. Originally they were made of a flat wooden board or flat stone so the constant grinding against them with the pestle made a dent/a hollow eventually so nowadays they cut out the middle man and make them bowl shaped to start with. The strange things we learn and remember eh?!
Wow the banku turned out so well, ilike the consistency. I like how crispy the fish looks with the meko. Well done Sissy
This looks so good sis......I also like a bit like this if it's with pepper and fish and very soft if it's with okro.....very appetizing 😍
